Gold Saucer vs Mogstation

something that's been on my mind lately and that is the rise of mogstation items available for cash only. which got me thinking how nice it would be to get more of that kinda stuff in the Gold Saucer, i mean when it first launched we got tons of stuff like whats on the mogstation already outfits, weapons, furnishings, and minions. i think it would be awesome for the dev team to start going back to that idea of making Gold saucer more relevant to us players again. i definitely would not mind doing more gold saucer stuff if they added more cool rewards to it like the stuff we see on the mogstation. but like i get it why they put some things on mogstation because of how much time they had to sacrifice just to make an exclusive item and such and thus they want to earn the money that went into it back by selling it to us on the mogstation. but to me personally i would greatly appreciate it more if i had to work for that special item by grinding out time in the gs and it would feel more special that way too. let me know what your thoughts and opinions are to this :)

I do wish more things were added to GS - not just prizes, though. I'd like more GATES as well, for example...

The gold saucer needs an expansion on its games more than its rewards. Add trades and ante to triple triad, flying races to chocobo, more gates, maybe even a rollercoaster.

Even though I know how much time, work and money it will take the devs just to make us a rollercoaster ride around the gold saucer, the child in me is still uncontrollably hyped for one. Because I know precisely all this time, work and money will help to make it the most polished and definitive in-game rollercoaster ride I'll have ever seen in my life.

Adding stuff to gold saucer doesn't earn them money, they will never go back from their cash shop as long as people continue to spend money on it. Shame, really :(

The last time they expanded the Golden Saucer on its games (more like added a new game though) people weren't very happy about it. *cough*Verminion*cough*

The problem with the Gold Saucer and all of its activities are how utterly time consuming they are for something that are supposed to be "mini-games." The Gold Saucer would have probably done better with actual mini-games and not these huge time sink monsters.

I'm sad there's no slot machine in Gold Saucer. Come on no one liked it as a mechanic for Cait Sith in FF7 but it would have been perfect to bring into GS especially since Cait Sith and the Redbills have been hanging around GS. They could have brokered a deal to get a slot machine in there that was designed by Cait Sith.

I say this because the mini games are pretty boring. The sad part is the most interesting mini games are the ones that failed as mechanic for botany and mining.

I'm fine with Mogstation for the most part since it has helped fund things that normally wouldn't be paid for. As far as accusations of additional profit...I haven't seen hard evidence showing that it was going outside the intended purpose (since at least the Devs have stated where it was going before).

i have no problem with the cash shop really (other than some items being way over priced)... none of the items are game breaking and its an easy way for people to get past event items in case they missed the event when it was in game... even cash shop exclusive items are fine... think of it as showing your financial support via an in game item... as for the gold saucer theyre considering adding blitzball (my least favorite mini game in all of ff) and/or snowboarding as games... item wise i think thy should have made it so you could have bought the riding maps using MGP vs hunting seals... it makes a bit more sense to get mount speed increases from chocobo racing than it does from hunting monsters...

I think the way to go would be to consider cash shop items for GS implementation after they've been out for a year or more - one would assume that at some point the sales of certain things would slow down, so provided they're selective (wait two years, even, at this rate) they'd be unlikely to step on any profitability toes.

If nothing else, it'd be nice if they made the (untradable) dyes available for MGP, since those exist in the game via retainers anyway.

Where's all the Mini-Games that I thought GS would get from FFVII, Submarine Battle, Snow Boarding, Motorbike chase, The One-Man Survival Battle, etc?
They could add Mini-Games from other FF games as well, like the Jump Rope game from FFIX for example.
Also, add the Mini-Games from the Toybox to GS to earn MGP as well

My opinion is this: We live in a capitalist society. The game's development is driven by its income. I'm not at all interested to see the devs cut their throats like this.
