What we do like.

So lately i've made 2 threads. Both with suggestions from my opnion on things that i don't think are working or could use a little love. Now i'd like to say things i do very much enoy anout the new system.
I very much so like all the changes that were made to BLM and SMN. As well as being able to use jobs i have at level 30. I like that gear no longer matters as it saves me inventory space caring around different armor sets to PvP in. I do like having to select what traits we can use (though i'd like a lot more choices for even minor things like run speed)
This new system will take work, and i'm willing to ride it out untill SE gets it to where it needs to be.
What about the new system do you enjoy?

I really like the new combo system for PvP. Allowing ability combos to take up one slot on a hotbar is an excellent quality of life change that I'd like to see pushed onto the PvE side of the game as well. It'll allow for less ability clutter and leave more room for additional abilities to be added further down the line.

Tough question.

I like the idea behind the traits system, I just wish it was, I dunno better. More finished feeling.

That's about it though.

Oh and I like Samurai being in PvP, though that has nothing to do with the new system. It's just that hard to find something I really like about it without thinking about a negative downside ruining the experience.

I like that there's less button bloat, but I dislike that a lot of cool things we had in the old system were stripped down/taken away especially melee losing lots of CC.

I like that there seems to be a bigger emphasis on teamwork, but dislike that the tools to do so (chat/utility style CD's on other jobs) is either gone or near non existent.

I like that they're trying to get more players to PvP, but I absolutely disagree with how they're doing it and am upset that there's no requirement for ranked and no real tutorial for PvP.

I like their attempt at giving us a new style of PvP actions, but there's really no real sense of choice with them, and bolt should at the least be something everyone can do.

I think the quick combo system is neat, but I honestly dislike this sort of thing on a more general basis, it feels too over simplified.

I like that we have gauges and resources, but I dislike how they've actually been implemented into the system itself. They don't really feel like they add to the gameplay of pvp itself much.

This, massively.

I like that soon there will be cross server tells to congratulate the winners and cheer the losers

I bet they will add an off and on switch on cross server tells though.

i really like the beach and camping under the stars. i really like cooking different dishes.

I like the ticket system they're doing with rewards for Ranked Feast.


The quick combos make everything better--especially preventing button bloat.


I like the different hotbars for PVE and PVP.


I like how the stats are standardized throughout roles now.


I like how they've taken away any influence of your equipment.


I like the addition of different Gauges for each job. It seems each job plays differently and has a more distinct feel to it. (Arguable.)

This. I really hope this could be a thing in the future. I mean I don't see any reasons to have a different hotbar setting for PVP and another for PVE. At least it could be optional.

Ah I forgot about this. Probably the best of the new changes.

They could literally throw everything else out but keep this in and it'd be awesome.

I don't mind the more simplified jobs, I feel it gives everybody a chance. The medal system isn't all that bad, problem is that vulnerabilities are too much, I'd halve damage taken. Maps are ok. Strategy component from wolf's heart and adrenaline rush is ok. LBs are quite balanced. Additional skills and traits are more or less ok. Jobs are more or less balanced, the only classes I feel need a bit of help are war, ast and mch.
