so I've seen some conflicting reports.
Has anyone tested to see if it's true that any race will fit the falcon mount properly as long as you don't mess with the height slider at creation?

I play Roe, and mine is bigger to accommodate. Lala's have super tiny ones.
I play a hyur and did adjust the height slider at creation, I fit fine in the falcon mount.
I meant more along the lines of, like i made a highlander and i did make her on the tall side. Her feet stick out the bottom of the hull and her hands are so far past the handle bars that they're more in line with her wrists yet I've seen pictures of elezen which are comparable height fitting it perfectly
I have a friend that plays miqote and he has similar problems yet I've seen several photos of miqote fitting it perfectly
I've seen roegadyn who's legs clip through the hull from hips all the way to feet with the handlebars embedded inside their thumb yet I've seen pictures of roegadyn that almost fit it proper
seen lala riding around who's hands grip the bars proper and some other lala whos hands are in line with the bars but are floating above them with a pretty big gap
I've noticed my character looks oddly oversized on several other mounts too just not to such an obvious degree and trying to figure out if it is all about a sweet spot on the height slider or some other factors involved since it seems every race can fit properly as long as you get some factor done correctly
My male Elezen is maximum height and fits fine without clipping. Hands don't touch the handlebars properly though (it doesn't bother me but I'd hate to clip through the actual hull). Most of the issues I have seen have been with Highlander models.
If you're referring to the pictures I posted of my Elezen fitting nicely, I went back later and checked the slider, and she was at 52, with 50 being the center and default. So, if we're correct in assuming the Falcon is built to the default height of each race and not scaling, then that's why my girl doesn't clip.
I think this is how it's done for all mounts that have different sizes per each race, verses the one size fits all mounts with each race/gender sitting on it with a different pose. IE the differently sized chocobos and horses verses the Ahriman or Behemoth.
It's definitely a weird QA issue, but I do think it's a height slider sweet spot deal.
My Lalafell should be the minimum and the handlebars fit fine.
I don't like how close the blades are to my head when in flight mode. ;_;
This is the issue OP is talking about
Seems to be a bug with height slider.

I have mine at the tallest and all I get is my thumbs being stabbed by the handlebar.
Can confirm as a max height Roe that the handlebars puncture my poor thumbs.
The leg clipping issue, however, I've never experienced on any of my gearsets.
found out how to get my character creation data since i didn't save it before and turns out my highlander actually is at 50.
Thinking maybe the problem is highlander adjustable sized mounts are scaled for height=0
no proof yet but would explain why highlanders tend to look a little off on a lot of mounts
don't really want to burn a fantasia to find out though...
wonder how long it would take me to get a character to 20 for science >_>;
You still need to get Ifrit beaten to get the GC unlocked and then buy the mount liscense, so it would take quite a bit longer than that.
I bet the issue is mounts are scaled to Midlanders, so even shorter Highlander girls are too tall.
My friend's lala. She did joke about "She drive a toy car"

As a max height femroe my feet clip out the sides horribly no matter what I am wearing (not to mention any longer skirt or robe clipping awfully like usual).

mine is 59, so slightly above medium height.
by the looks of that maybe the mounts are sized based on 0 height for every race??
the distance your hands are past the handlebars is very similar to my own and i wouldn't expect even a full height lala to have feet clipping through
this thread has been informative so far. I'm tempted to try using one of my fantasia just to height adjust and see.
edit: so i just tried it for the heck of it.
highlander is definitely using midlander as a size reference for mounts. Even at the smallest height feet are sticking out and hands are past the bars
Im max lenght and it the mount fits fine.
How did you guys this mount?
90 days worth of purchased game time after having registered Stormblood. Some of us who were regularly subbed managed to time it right to get it in the first roll-out of the mount.
http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/mount_campaign_2017/
Basically, you buy Stormblood, register it to your account, then buy a 90 sub card for that account. You have until September 30th. You should get it on the October rollout.
If you've had a continuous subscription with no breaks, you'll get the mount. They just have 2 delivery dates. September 5th and October 5th. Those who were already eligible got it on the earlier date, those paying month to month won't yet have accrued the 90 days within the required period, so they'll be on the second date.
