Please add alternative method of obtaining wind-up scathach

Because competing with 23 other people on a rare drop really really REALLY fucking sucks.

Maybe lets us buy with shillings.

Raid roulette will help, but perhaps have a system where you can trade 50-99 mhachi coins (I forget which one) for the minion.

Raid roulette will help run it more often, but it's still a rare drop and when it drops, the whole 24 person alliance rolls on it instead of just one party. I want this minion more than anything in this game so it feels bad losing it whenever it drops knowing there's no other way to get it.

Thats an unfortunate fact of life in an MMO, it keeps it rare and valuable, and makes it feel all the better when you get it. Like I said though, trading for a large amount of the mhachi coin would mean it is on par with the primal ponies, and it will keep its value.

Like all previous 24-man minions, this one will likely be made a 100% drop and/or a per party drop sooner or later. Most likely with 4.1 and the new 24-man. Once that happens it will be very simple to get, especially with 24-man roulette breathing life into the old 24-mans (hopefully). I frequently see the older 24-man minions either drop to the floor or go to the only person who bothers to roll.

When I was farming for this minion, I cried every day that this should be a thing and wished it would happen before I lost my sanity.

I did eventually get the minion, around 200 or so runs of that place... I hope nobody has to go through hell like that, like I did; so a token system is something I'd love to see -- for previous 24 man minions and future ones (maybe have the "current" ones require more tokens).

I honestly...think how hard it is to get it makes it so much more rewarding (as Lambda said). It took me months to get mine, months that i didn't need gear, couldn't do anything with gear drops, but when I got it..I was happier than i can say. Just like Getting the First Wind-up Echidna on Ultros day one of VA. You have a certain pride and satisfaction of actually getting the drop.

it took me months in HW to get the cloud of darkness minion...and I did it because of my HW relic. while using a token system is good, the introduction of the new 24 man will create a lot of different things and we'll see exactly what happens and how SE goes about changing the old ones., drops for minions, etc.

I don't know how "Value" comes into this since you cannot sell it on the marketboard. There's no value in something rare that you cannot trade to others. However, they should increase the drop rate or allow tokens to trade for people interested in obtaining the minion.

There's more types of value than monetary value.

The argument about value is to the person that said it will lose value if it was obtainable in a different way. Considering there is no way to obtain it on the market, there's no true value to worry about. Rarity of a minion that's only obtained a certain way cannot be traded, and a person loses nothing if someone else has the same minion. Therefore its value is "worthless".
