While I'm not shocked that it's on the mogstation, I am shocked that it's not $18. SE also gave a few jobs scythes to use. Not half bad I suppose.
i bought it, thanks SE for making it.. now hope n pray for Rinoa from FF8 =D
Bleh... All the scythes are for classes I don't play. Guess it's time to level a BLM.
Give me one good reason NIN couldn't get 2 small scythes.
FYI you can buy the Scythe(s) for both male and females! They are not gender-locked!
That was fast, I thought it was going to be released in 4.1. Still no news of the male version of the Bunny Outfit, they only finished it for two races, then stopped working on it. I hope they finish it fast and add them to the game before patch 6.1 drops.

Thanks for the regular reminder that players with male characters aren't important to you, S-E. Stay classy.
got feedback, possible to make it dye-able? ...
Right? It's a kick in the teeth. Since they specifically stated that they gave the task to a female developer, however, I have a sneaking suspicion that none of the men on the development team wanted to do it themselves. Something similar happened even with a game as large and influential as The Witcher 3 - with the, uh, male anatomy of Geralt not being animated because nobody on the development team wanted to do it. Of course, that didn't stop them from showing off and designing female anatomy.
I'm thinking about the arms but AST not listed. Will be nice a globe with scytes rotating around it.
You have the ayyymeric outfit, and people have been asking for the edda one over and over. Do you want to just get that dress on male characters? Because I'm pretty sure then some would complain about feminine clothes for males too, and if you want a redisgn we'd have to wait another year or so, looking at the bunny outfit.
And you have the Minfilia outfit (which even has genderlocked hair, unlike ours), and the bunny costume, and the Thavnairian Bustier, and the Bridesmaid costume and...
I'd have been happy for a male-specific equivalent, or to just adapt the dress as-is for males. If they're using a female Lala to show it off, why not unlock it? Male Au Ra have more curves than a female Lala, for heaven's sake.
People have been asking for bunny ears - not even the full costume, just unlocked ears which already fit their models - for two and a half years. Well before this dress was ever made. It's a ridiculous double standard.
I fear for the future of glamours (for those with male avatars) if this continues, I have seen this happen in TERA (there it was of a $_$ that played a major factor), but if the male developers are uncomfortable with creating a sexy male outfit, then there is an easy solution, stop creating sexy outfit for females in the first place. According to the datas, the gender balance is very close to each other, so its not like there are more players with female avatar then a male avatar and players like glamouring for both genders.
Its simple realy, if SE does not want to create male exclusive outfits to balance it with the female exclusive outfits, just announce it during a Live Letter. This will send the message to the playerbase and this way we dont have beg on the forum for equal treatment.
Better way would have been to create a male version of the Edda outfit and sell both glamours at the same time. SE would make money, both those with female and male avatars would also have an option to buy the item. The only group of players that would be left out is the ones that want to cross dress the glamour of the other gender. The current path is bad, in my opinion. Lets not forget that with the Aymeric outfit there was a hairstyle included, this hairstyle was uni-sex, while Minfilia's was not. Those with female avatars not only have more choices when it comes to outfits, but they have more hairstyles aswell, which is wrong.
I remember in 2013, people were praising SE for giving both genders the equal treatment even reviewers mentioned this, if you look at forums since 2015 , its the opposite.
Most of the players play female character so the female glamours sell better.
Don't need to be a mastermind to figure out why they almost only work on female outfits.....
*sigh* another female only outfit, and it isn't dyable either.
If you look at the mog station it actually is overall even for outfits gender locked with the men actually having 1 more than women listed. In game is another story but you may not want to pull the mog station into this where male outfits are favored :)
I think a good question would be what generates them the most revenue. Are they making more money off the female outfits on the mog station? Do they find more female characters using Lv. 1 glamour outfits than men? If they do then maybe it isnt a gender bias but an actual time vs product value being taken into account.
Not sure there is solid evidence for this. If you look at sources like the official census, the gender splits weren't that dramatic at all: http://eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodest...e8ff1bcf34c5ae
If it's become worse since then, well, they've also been treating male characters like inferior customers since then. So it's likely a situation they caused themselves. Players who want the most content are going to be tempted to fantasia or quit when they keep being silently shut down like this. Correlation does not imply causation in every situation.
The quality of the outfits is not really equivalent though; comparing genuinely unique pieces paints a different picture. They openly admitted they locked a bunch of the old Scion outfits to force some kind of equivalence, even though they're mostly available in-game in various locked configurations already.
However there are a lot more unique female NPC costumes on the way, so we can expect the Mog Station to reflect in-game reality very soon.
Who cares about Eddas costume (just a figure or speach.. calm down... breath -- breeaaath.... Ok? Good!) when we can get scythes for our DRK!? :D
The weapon aren't dyeable either. And the scythe (on a female Au Ra) is quite a bit smaller from the one that black Edda carries, at least from what I remember. By the way, can we get the Avere minion (which I assume was transformed from her right eye) carried by black Edda in PotD? Would be nice if we can purchase it in-game via Gelmorran Potsherd.
This is the minion I'm talking about:

I'm hoping we'll get an in game scythe for all jobs from a future event or something, cause having that as a mog station exclusive item is kind of a dick move.
Scythe glamour for DRK and BLM is a big deal for us old FFXI players. Really appreciate this glamour. :)
I'm really happy to have access to this outfit and the scythes. Not overly thrilled it's in the Mog Station, but the price is better than some of the other items they have on there. A little sad the outfit isn't dyeable and the eye patch on the hat isn't /visor-able.
Its so stupid that we cannot dye it. Wtf SE?
The scythe is a bit puny... Would have hoped it had more "mass". :/
Does anyone know if this can be put in the Armoire?
Pretty sure the pricing would be a lot higher if it's dyeable though :/
I know right? T-T
As with other kupo store items, nope. So please be warned, it's a hefty 9 slots (5 weapon + 4 gear) if you choose to get everything. There's no pants for some reason... Maybe black Edda went commando? x3
Weapons Bundle is 7.00~ and seperate is 3.00~ each. I went for blm one only though cause I havent leveled the others enough to care lol. xD
So another glamour piece that already existed ingame and only needed an adjustment for all races is sold in the mog station..why not make it a new drop for the higher PotD floors? Or even a drop from the future deep dungeon? :/ But no wonder that males dont get their bunny glamour after such a long time..they cant make money from it because they cant sell it on the mog station thus its not important.
Edit: So its not even dyeable and only certain jobs can even buy the weapons and even though they all look the same you have to buy different ones for those jobs? Wow..its really getting worse. :/ Why not make one weapon which is lvl 1 glamour for all jobs? But well less money I guess..its truly a shame.
Feedback: Make it dyeable please. Also /visor for the eyepatch.
Will be ultra fantastic if you did that, please.
Echoing the sentiment to make it dyeable.
Like 90% of the cosplay glamours available on the Mog Station would sell even better if we could dye them. It'd make them more money having them dyeable - so why not do it? People don't just want the stuff for cosplay in all honesty, they want it because they're cool outfits people want to work into glamours. ; ;
Kitty ears disappear into the hat, and the tail stays under the skirt while standing, clips while running. DRK wears the scythe with the blade on the bottom which looks a bit awkward.
Odin graced me with a tension atmosphere though, so I think the big guy approves!

i bought all the scythes o-o
The Edda outfit was released because people insisted that they wanted it. Initially, there were no plans to make it wearable by players. Now that SE gave us what was asked, people complain that it's female only? *Laughs*. That's hardly SE's fault!
As for the dress, I love it and I certainly don't regret buying it. I wish it was dyeable though. I don't know why NPC outfits are never dyeable >_<
Well, guess I'll be seeing some 2B cosplays running around for the forseeable future. (Because of that dress and Samurai being the hot new DPS)
