Transfer restriction

Does anyone have any idea when in the hell they're lifting the restriction on transferring to Omega? I just want to transfer because my friend is on Omega, hell I came back to FFXIV for that reason. Go figure, the one server that I can't transfer to is the one I want to.

4.1 would be my estimate, that being said I have no idea, no idea why they haven't already. Initially, I think it was to prevent congestion with how many transferred, but I think if it were still the case then Louisoix would've suffered the same fate; getting closed that is due to how many people would transfer. (Bonus incentives and everything)

That being said, I hope they do cutoff the bonus incentives in 4.1 and reopen world transfers to-and-from Omega.

I wouldnt recommend Omega to anyone tbh (Unless you're into RP). Omega is basically the EU "Balmung" + full of weird people, lel.

As I said, primary reason I even want to go on there is because of people I know IRL. Though I am curious, what's the story on Balmung? And by RP you mean role playing? Like people acting like their characters or to what extent exactly?

Been stuck on Omega for over 4 months and still won't let me transfer out of it. Keeps says 90 days lock but been there a lot longer than 90 days. Don't recommend Omega if live in western us you will get very bad ping and sever lag. Since transferred there can't even play my main character and all from the lag.

Omega is classified as congested. yes it is a new world but it is also congested. Transfering on congested worlds is prohibited. When Omega change its status from congested to normal transfering onto it will be allowed again.

To much people went straight there after the opening and now it is one of the highest active pop world in chaos.

How is this possible? Omega doesn't even exist for 3 month!

I transferred to omega maybe 1,5 months ago and i'm able to transfer again.

I see I'm not the only one waiting for an update about it. It still doesn't make sense in my eyes to not allow people to transfer yet this server is crowded with new players and you can even easily create a new one (I don't see the point of locking out old players and allow new ones, it's either none or both to me)

You make it sound bad, but yes it's mostly for those into RP. Nothing wrong about that. There was a few reddit discussions about it and quite a lot of threads of roleplayers in Balmung and others saying they'd move to Omega. But you wouldn't know it if you're not interested or just moved to Omega without looking up info on "which community" could go there. (same reason Moogle is the "French" server or Shiva the "German" server, people gathered before the servers were up and decided to go there :D)

I've been on Omega since we could first transfer in... and I've never come across any RP stuff going on. Not sure I want to as it sounds a bit scary, but do you have to specifically hunt it out? :S

RP isn't scary at all, it's just not everyone's taste. Because they keep being mocked and are often victim of witch hunting they tend to not show themselves I guess (I'm not talking about the good old perv roleplayer everyone believes to be the norm loll). Things are different on Balmung I suppose. I've seen it on other servers (I enjoy making alts), it does happen if two people are roleplaying somewhere and someone cromes accross them, that person can stalk them or intrude and ruin the fun. For what I've seen in EU roleplayers are hiding more in order to avoid the trolls and twats, making things more difficult when it comes to find RP partners.
