Gridania <Can I have it?> <Auto-translation Dictionary>

Yes but the spelling is obviously different in Japanese as it doesn't use the Latin alphabet.

The translation system tries to populate based on data that is around you. For example if you buy an item it should go into translation for a short time, or visit a place on the map.

The auto translate is now all 100% there, its pulled when needed so to speak. But with some stuff not being populated when you'd expect it does seem like it is having some lag issues or there is some bugs.

Did you try go to Map? And Map > Lists

If it still doesn't come up and if you don't mind keeping it handy for copy paste in Japanese:

or for short you can just say:

グリ

I noticed this too, even in FFXI: Sometimes for no apparent reason, a common translator term would disappear from the list. I never could figure out why, but as it was said before, terms seem to come up when you come in contact with a particular place and/or item. For instance, if you need to translate "Cobalt Claws", then you would just go to the wards menu and click on that item. It's odd..
