The rewards from this event are actually really good. Thanks SE, this looks like it will be memorable even if only for the rewards.

I didn't get to play 1.x, but I have watched several videos of the 'end' made by players. It's quite emotional really, the game I played before FFXIV was summarily killed online in the West by Sony/D3/Level 5, and I remember the emotional sting of saying goodbye to my old world. So I feel great empathy for players of 1.x who were there at the end. Even though I wasn't there myself, I still feel some of the sense of loss from the shared experience of losing a world. The Answers reprise is an amazing musical catalyst for that, it somehow manages to encompass the emotions, or at least trigger them.

p.s. Chibi Lyse is prettier than 'real' Lyse...lol

Useful battle items (gear) will never be in a seasonal event.
At best you'll get glamour. Mounts are given out all the time in seasonal events and are equivalently useful as minions.

That Answers - Reprise is all I want. The rest is icing on the cake.

Does the description of the Wind-up Lyse not strike anyone else as a potential spoiler for anyone who hasn't started Stormblood yet? I mean... that's a suspiciously specific denial, right?

Other than that minor concern, looking forward to the event and the rewards. Good stuff!

Never, ever going to happen. the events are all accessible to players of ARR only, as well as everyone who bought the expansions, they'll never give out stuff that impacts battle the way you want.

I'm inclined to agree, but a new player wouldn't know that it was essentially inconsequential. I'd be peeved if I thought a free minion of all things spoiled a major plot point.

Hey SE: Trade you the stormblood orchestration for a Tataru in Kimono minion instead :3. Literally, out of all the MSQ minions from the scion's, she has yet to have an alternate minion type, not to mention one that can be obtainable in game via event or WT. So what-da-ya-say eh?

Yay! :D :D :D I've been wanting an Answers - Reprise orchestrion roll ever since the orchestrion was added. (Well, I've been wanting it ever since the first Rising event, but didn't see a way of getting it until the orchestrion was added.)

(Hopefully this also means the Rising's theme music is back in the event. I was pretty upset that it was missing last year.)

Maybe the Answers roll on the MB will finally drop in price a little? Perhaps not given what it needs to make, but this will provide a replacement for now.

So cmon, this is the time to praise them .. they gave us 2 minions (that could easily go MOG shop) and 2 "musics" plus other stuff .. lets praise them when they deserve it so they get it.. so we dont get this *s*it on Kuppo store... Thks SE i havent played the event yet.. but the rewards are adequate... thank you

Gotta admit, when I saw those two minions on the PS4 dynamic theme, I assumed they would be MogStation, so I am very happy to be wrong now.

They will be eventually.
Minions of MSQ characters tend to be the rewards for the anniversary event, some in the MSQ itself, some in WT and a Yugiri in a dungeon.

I keep the in game music off. I don't need furnishings. That leaves the minions and their unfortunate chibi style. Maybe if one was Yotsuyu. Otherwise, another meh event reward.

No offense, but that sounds like a boring/depressing gaming experience--this game has amazing music. But to each their own. I'm a soundtrack nerd and absolutely can't wait to get my hands on that Answers Reprise. Only wish I could have been there for the epicness that was the end of 1.0.

You have your opinions and personal tastes. I have mine. I appreciate you acknowledging that. To me this game is far from a masterpiece, and I never played other FF games, so nostalgia is not a factor for me. Obviously, my opinion must be in the minority, which is a good thing for those that want this game to go on and on.

The orchestrions this time are great, particularly 'Answers - Reprise'.
Not huge on the minion choice, but not especially opposed or surprised either.

Hopefully the actual event will be decent, or at least decently-decorated too. Aside from the Ultros appearance, Moonfire kind of sucked (We get a whole new island for events and its just... barren).
Now that we have not-Japan actually available in-game, perhaps a full-on Obon-type festival? Maybe some sort of summer festival setup with food-stalls, mini-games, etc.? Probably not, but eh...

It's not for everyone true. But, like laurtias, I am absolutely in love with the soundtrack. I'm constantly belting out soundtracks from FFXIV on my phone. It's become practically the only thing I listen to (but a favourite artist of mine is releasing a new album in a few months, which might grab my attention off the FFXIV OST)

Considering Yoshida evidently likes Yotsuyu, to the point that he asked a cosplayer to step on his face, I imagine there'll be a minion of her in the near future.

Kinda disapponted to find out that the jacket with the meteor sign is not a reward for NA/EU/JP players, but for Chinese players only. Was hoping for some glamour, I guess the only thing that can make me happy is if the event itself is fun.

Is anyone else out there super punctual and waiting around in-game for the event to pop up? Or is it just me? ^_^;

Nope, I'm waiting around too. xD Working on gathering classes while I wait. I admit I wish we were getting a Hien minion, but I can hope he will come along in the MSQ at some point.

Edit: Oh my gosh, that was so touching! It was short, and maybe not as amazing as the whole dev floor, but it was still so very touching. Right in the feels! YoshiP and the devs seem to put a lot of heart into the text of this event, so I want to say a heartfelt 'thank you' to them for all their hard work.

Without giving up what my code was (no idea if people get the same one or not), count the letters needed and think of FF related words that can be spelled out that fit that. I felt so silly when I got mine...

I'm not sure if it's different for everyone or not... But what I figured out was you uncover the entire map for both floors, then impose them over each other. In other words, layer them and see what matches up.
