Proposed solutions?
1. As others have suggested, link all 3 cities so that any retainer in any ward in ANY CITY can be placed and goods purchased wherever you are.
2. Multiple instances of the same ward.
3. When a player goes to summon a retainer, if the ward is full, kick the first player's retainer from the ward. For example, player 1 summons their retainer. Next, players 2-200+ summon their retainers until the ward capacity is reached. Player 201 goes to summon their retainer and player 1's retainer is kicked. This gives a natural cycle giving your retainer maybe 3-5 days of life in the ward.

PICK ONE. IMPLEMENT IT. PLEASE.

I think this should take priority over addressing the QQ's of players who can't handle walking around fucking trees.

This complaint is null if AH is coming at any point before 2.0. Otherwise, I think this is a priority fix.

I keep wondering why people keep posting where they can get heavy NA servers (which I can understand)
But personally I like my heavily populated jp (6:1ish I'm told) server.

Like being able to farm karakuls for hours with no one in sight for hours

Which is why I asked.

Yeah I'm on selbina too and I wasn't able to put a retainer up since a few weeks. Its not even possible

This was driving me nuts at one point, so I tried to get it up recently and finally got it up and made it so it will stay up.

With the buy-it-now feature, strictly speaking, there is no longer a reason to physically place a retainer into the Market Wards. I always thought the limit was related to server issues trying to display all the retainers, not the server querying a list of retainers.

But OP brings up a good point, as soon as a Market Ward fills, it would be nice if a new Market Ward opens up where the overflow could go.

Yeah I covet the shit out of my 2 retainers I got up in our wards because it was a pain in the butt to get them in there. I also add stuff to sell to them almost daily. Something really does need to be done. I remember my boyfriend raging trying to get one of his up for like an hour haha.

Not to mention I have changed my main crafting job since I got my retainers up - so they are stuck in a ward that dos not really match what I sell anymore. I'd love to move them, but god knows I am far too terrified to try it.

My ideas for a fix: get rid of market wards, get rid of retainers. Give us a bank or mog house or some kind of storage, and give us an AH that's linked to all three cities. End of story.

This would be true if the feature always worked. With more than half the things I have tried to buy directly, multiple times, I have had to go to the stupid retainer and buy it from them like before. At first I assumed it was bought out and hadn't updated. Nope >< I got every item I went and looked for it.

Bump. Hopefully we get a reply after the holiday.

They need to make retainers leave after 3 days RL time no matter if they sold everything or not.

Yeah I'm on selbina too and summoning retainers is a nightmare. I think it's mostly populated by people who only log on to play economy though, since you don't often see a lot of people around anymore, besides the usual afk fools in uldah and those hanging around moogle, or iron lake raptors ._.
Anyway, it's a rush to get on after maintenance ASAP so you can get a spot in a ward. bleh

Retainers keep their positions after maintenance. ><

Putting 999,999,999 in retainers should be disconnected for taking up space.
