I'm sure there is a thread for this already. But what is everyone stacking for whm at level 70?
I'm stacking crit and spellspeed, but I'm not a savage healer. I just like to see huge crit heals and a little extra boost to my hots when I queue for my healer/dps DF.
Det and Crit are what I'm stacking. SS was nerfed, and Det is pretty strong.
Don't forget the VIT or I know a meteor that may surprise you in a bad way.
I haven't seen what theory crafters have concluded for WHM for stormblood. But as I do try to dps a bit when I can, I have gone for crit - direct hit- determination.
Just from experience I feel ok with this but I'm not sure what it really should be to be honest.
Pick what your comfortable with since healer melds are generally up to the playstyle of the player. I'm personally Crit > all and a FC members has a different build of SpS to a certain threshold than DET.
General rule of thumb I'd say is:
PIE until comfortable > then anything else you want.
Remember that direct hit only affects DPS abilities if you go that route and don't forgot some VIT for low ilvl progression into savage.
Personally, I'm going crit>det>sps. In HW sps felt pretty useful, but this time around I'm using Medical II a lot less, mostly due to Earthly Star + Medica being sufficient to top the entire party outright in most situations. This is likely going to change to crit>det>vit when i start on v4s. I've heard much about the healing requirements for v4s, so this is all subject to change, but I'll deal with that once my static gets there. Til then, it feels wasteful to use up too many slots on sps, which mostly makes a relatively small difference to just Regen. Pie I have a hard time suggesting as WHM has absurdly good MP management.
From a savage perspective:
Vit in accessories, this might change if I ever get some gear =(
1 Direct Hit VI to unlock that ability, no more.
Rest is Crit and Pie.
SS still seems decent, I avoid it as stacking it isn't to my taste.
I'm not sold on DET's effectiveness yet, it seems better than it was in HW, but I don't think it's back up to it's standard from ARR.
VIT is the best right side, bar none in-progression. I've already had one clear save because of my VIT VI melds, that's worth it's weight in-gold over some points in Crit/Det. Of course once you get content on-farm, and have more 330-340 left sides you can shave them for other stats. Remember it's not so much about you doing mechanics correct, it's that there are seven other people that could mess something up, putting your HP at even more risk.
One DH VI meld minimum somewhere, usually you'll find a s lot for this where Crit/Det might already be capped on the gear. You can go higher to help your chances even more. But absolutely it's a gain to have one meld otherwise you are at the mercy of a party-buff like Bard's Battle Voice to even trigger DH on your damage.
Crit is my favorite choice among all-healers, mainly because of damage and healing impact. You don't depend on a crit heal so much since healing is scripted, but it can be nice if your Medica II ticks do crit because that could save you a GCD of healing somewhere.
PIE is a personal choice, and if you are progressing savage or doing traps, it never hurts to have a bigger pool. Things go wrong and you'll be able to do more in-a-pinch.
DET is ok, it's usually slotted where I can't even improve Crit anymore on the gear. Still seems you need a lot to make a material impact, but this affects every skill you have so there is definitely benefit.
SpS is ok on WHM, it's like a det to DoT/HoTs but enough of it also affects your gcd. Since raid healing is scripted you might have adapted to when and how you should heal something. Changing this too much might have you change your regimen a bit.
Det, SpS, Crit for WHM. Pie as needed, which is very little for WHM. Vit in accs until you get a couple pieces of 330.
