Best Server For NA Players?

I didn't buy the game for a while because of all of the bad press but decided to see for myself if a "Final Fantasy" game could be as bad as everyone says it is. But since square enix was basically giving it away at $12 and I had almost nothing to do during winter break i decided to give it a go. I made a PUG and got them to level 15 in a couple days just killing mobs (since I was just watching Saiyuki the entire time I didnt really think about the fact I was doing nothing) then thought "I've never seen another player speak english".

My current server is Gysahl, should I change before I get too attached?

im wondering this also. im very lonely in besaid...

Gysahl is a mostly JP server so you might wanna hit the jets before getting too attached.

Besaid seems to be pretty alive and well with NA players. :)

Lindblum is a pretty large server with lots of NA players. (*Atleast, from what I can tell*)

Check out the Besaid sub-forums, and read over the linkshell thread. There're some pretty good groups you could throw in with.

I'm on Kashuan.. and because I'm basically the only Australian who is on that server, 90% of the people online when I'm on are Japanese.
I don't mind~ :D But I seriously miss having conversations.. and exploring with someone.. and partying up for some leves.. with people who understand me :[

Tons of NA players on Traibia. But also a good mix of JP FR GR also.

If world section forum posts are anything to go by Lindblum looks like it houses a lot of NA.

I think Besaid took some casualties when people starting taking an arrow to the knee. Assassins and templars roaming Ul'dah may have taken some adventurers off the street. As well as individuals lured to the dark side.

(45 new and/or returning players before November down to 5ish).

They said they might merge servers depending on how things goes in January. It wasn't set in stone, since it was said they'll observe how things goes and if it's needed they'll do it.
