Anyone else noticing lower drop rates on moogle weapons since 1.20a?

Or is my LS just very unlucky lately?

Tonight we did 8 runs I believe and only 2 weapons dropped, so that's 2/64. Yesterday wasn't much better either.

I'm wondering if others have noticed a change as well. Maybe they did this to compensate for easier keystone farming? If that's the case then that's real sneaky SE >.>

i saw someone in my shell say the ifrit drops got worse too...so it might just be. Yay for SE trying to milk those fights out as long as mindlessly possible.

I almost want to agree with this, with a 2 nut drop, 0 weapons today. However yesterday we got a 4 weapons in 1 run, amoung other drops in the night

i've had 4 drops in 12 kills since patch, two of which were duplicates. i'm actually seeing a higher drop rate on weapons that kupo nuts, personally. other people in my LS are getting weapons pretty regularly, too.

hard to account for luck, whether it's good or bad.

Dang Meowy with all these threads you have had recently I am beginning to think that you are cursed with bad luck.

Everyone is going to have 7/7 before they get 20 nuts.....

Heh, I assumed so too, but... I think, unintentionally (maybe), the 20 nuts are probably for the 7th weapon (or 6th if desperate). So you don't kill the Moogle 100 times just for the 1 weapon (getting like a dozen duplicates), you spend the 20 nuts you saved up instead.

Yep you have to save them because when you do get 20 you will want to go buy that one weapon that is eluding you only to see it drop right after you buy it. (Or watch SE change it to 10 nuts per weapon) Should just bank all your nuts till you are 5/7 or 6/7 and get that last elusive weapon.

Drop rates are rates of drops! It's all chance!

our LS got 4 weapons in 3 runs last night, better than we've ever had! 3 of the 4 weapons came from 1 kill!

What you talking about Meo... you saw me got dropped 4 time last night, drop rate is great.

Ive gotten more weapons then nuts, lol. way to ruin a good idea SE.

I've already beaten the fight a couple times and got the quest completion/achievement. Think my play time is going to be sparse between now and 1.21 :/ I don't feel like doing this fight 100 more times.

Only killed it once last night due to people having work but got a bow, also gotten 2 totems and one axe I think out of four runs. Ifrit though has been very generous on totems and weapons, three bows, bunch of duplicate swords, back to back cudgels for me, two lances and like 2-3 totems per kill in the last 12-15 kills.

As said earlier rng is rng, just because you rolled ever number but the drop number doesn't mean next roll is drop number.

Well I guess it's just bad luck on my part then (surprise, surprise lol). Thanks for the replies guys and I love the sarcasm Ragz :D

I haven't noticed, then again, I'm about 0/50 on the moogle fight by now. I haven't had a single win on Ifrit since the patch either. •.•

I wish ifrit was released for 1.20 with the job changes it seems a good amount more difficult now then before.

4 weapons / 4 nuts / 40 wins.

Harder for melee to do decent damage due to ws chaining and avoiding cracks? Maybe, but just switch to thm and watch him drop. With the changes to thm damage and cnj heals/mp you can play a lot more aggressively. Tanking is more fun and interactive now, a ton of self sustain with aegis boon, sanguine rite + cure, second wind, almost impossible for a tank to die now against ifrit.

TBH 1.20 seems like a buff if you have most classes leveled and don't main just one class.
