I am a bit confused by this note in the patch 1.20a, So does this mean we can only raise our party members and not others outside the group? If this is the case, going for that moogle fight and well just about everything else in this Multiplayer game is gonna be harder to do and less social I would think.

I was coming here to post the same thing. This fix is idiotic. If I'm playing a mmorpg part of it involves raising strangers I stumble upon dammit.

You can still raise people out of your group. I did it several times tonight. Don't worry.

There was a bug where sometimes you could target living people with raise spell, that was fixed supposedly.

oh good so it is just another example of SE doing a terrible job at explaining things.

Yes, while people want this and every other MMO to be more of a single player offline game (seriously, look at requests to being able to solo anything, even dungeons) this fix does not prevent you from raising others, it just helps the annoying issue of trying to target the dead in your party.

I raised someone right after logging in after the patch. They died just before maint and I was unable to raise before the servers went down.

This whole thread could have been avoided if you got off our lazy a$$ and tried to do something for yourself. All you had to do was wait outside moogle and you could have found your answer in less than 2 minutes

Well you have some nerve there. Geez what is wrong with you. Why would someone go all the way out there to the moogles when they can go visit the king of hellfire instead? Really though its a fairly easy thing to test although maybe the OP had his targeting setting messed up.

Another cool feature is that Non-Raise spells can not be targeted to dead people, not sure if this was in pre-patch anyone remember?

a.K.a. Only people who have been KO'd in the party can now be targeted using Raise.
The option to raise only Party members is retarded (and it's governed by the Target Mode, can't be dependant by the action).
That automatically means: Living players in the party can't be selected.

Doesn't sound that hard to get =)

OK, to clear this up, this means only people who are dead can be targeted with raise spell, as opposed to it targeting people who are both alive and dead.
