The mounts rewarded in previous seasons of the Feast

Think it's possible that they will reward them for this season along with a new mount, or possibly make them available to buy on Mog Station? Or are they gone for good?

Only curious seeing as how they look so badass and cool and would kill to have those two hound mounts.

Just to point out, this season's reward is an armor set (similar to season 1/2), not a new mount. I doubt they'll make the season 3/4 mounts available again.

It would be meaningless if SE put them in cash store

But well, you can suggest that previous awards can be bought by tickets (the thing uses to exchange for S5 weapons, for example get in top 100 twice can get enough tickets for one previous reward)

No they will no be releasing the content again, they were up for 8 months and are catered specifically to the top 100 only. People are saying that SE *might* implement that a top 100 reward will allow you to to trade in a voucher for a previous reward ONLY if you get a top 100 position. However, that is simply just hot air and there is no source backing up this information.

I'm pretty sure this is a troll post, buy on the mog station? Are you trying to make people angry?

So many in this MMO are too used to everything being available easily. It's wild, I've never seen constant topics like these in any other game for exclusive items.

Yeah I agree, actually they should just hand out the mounts and the s1/2 gear + the titles after doing 10 or 2(I think 10 is too much work) 8v8 matches.

As someone who didn't get the mounts from previous season, or the gear... I say NO to ever make them available again. Sure, it would be cool having them but it would feel cheap to just have bought them off of mog station or anything. Just play the game man. I wasn't good enough for previous seasons, I acknowledge that. I'm trying as hard as I can and if I can't reach top 100, at least I can be proud of the rank I achieved and try to be better. And I get tickets for a weapon.

Can I buy rank 1 title for enough bronze vouchers too please?

If they do it they will probably lose most if the best players this game ever had.

Why worry about old rewards when there's new ones to be gotten? I didn't get one and I'm totally fine without one.

I think that's the way things will go eventually with this new ticket system. Most likely you'd be able to, over time and with regular Feast participation, earn enough tickets for a 'regular" hellhound mount (like the ones in Void Ark) - but I think the blue/purple/red/black ones as well as the Eagle coats won't be available again for some time if at all. We'll just have to wait and see.

For the people wanting past rewards to be made available with this ticket system, you've got to understand that those of us who've been actively enjoying PvP in this game are honestly lifelining at this point.

Support for PvP in this game has been so poorly handed that whenever we actually do get something good, there's often a price paid with it. The 4.0 overhaul increasing participation, but at the cost of nearly everything we actually enjoyed about it. The GC restrictions being lifted in 3.5, but the controversial chat ban in the Feast. Shatter in 3.3, but at the cost of Seal Rock dying (Secure and Slaughter didn't count for being locked to level 50 still at that time).

Now you have this award-over-time system that people asked for in S3 and 4. Not entirely a terrible idea, despite the risk of declining motivation per season (again, "why work so hard to do it now when I can just get it later through minimal effort?"), but people are asking for rewards that were hard earned to be purchasable. Seriously, how wrong does that sound?

If SE caves on this and allows that, you can pretty much consider the Feast - if not PvP entirely - dead to the actual community that once enjoyed it. . .

. . .Then who's next?

To be fair, both the current season and previous seasons have been plagued by win trading. Obviously some people earned the rewards through genuine effort but it would be nice if they were made available once more in a future season.

If the problem is win-traders, then remove them from the leaderboard and strip them of their winnings. Redistribute those to those they pushed off the leaderboard through cheating.

The answer is not to make awards from previous seasons available, and it never should be. They're really the only exclusive stuff left in the game that you dont get with money or subscription time. Look to the future for more exclusive stuff to fight for, the challenge can be exhilarating.

But the "why work now when I can do it later with less effort" applies to everything in this game. Raids, crafting, leveling up different classes. Not saying it's right or wrong, but look at it from the other side (playing devil's advocate here) -- why should PVP be exclusive? Do you work harder to rank than raiders or crafters or people who level up all their classes? Is your work somehow better or harder than theirs?


Now, as a disclaimer - I *know* Feast ranking is hard. For those who do it fairly and without the help of third party tools, it's truly fighting tooth and claw to get to the top. And I have always maintained that the top-ranked should have something worthy (whatever happened to the trophies and crowns?) But when you take a mount that so many people have asked for and throw it into a seasonal and exclusive thing, it's kind of like trying to entice the majority to join a broken, skewed system by way of a carrot. Except to get that carrot, your arms and legs are bound and you have to swim through a murky, piranha infested pool.

I've stood by the statement that I want to earn that mount. And if PVP is the only way I can do it, so be it. If it takes months or years, so be it. But this game is not my life. I, and many other players, need to work toward things on our own time at our own pace. Job and life responsibilities come first. Making something -- anything -- exclusive and seasonal basically says to the players "nolife grind your way toward this reward to the exclusion of everything else"

What's fun about that?

Simple, PVP doesn't get easier, you cannot outgear your opponents (I mean you could in S1-4, because they allowed people to put on whatever, but fixed that in S5). You always fight at minimum iLvl. Some seasons are harder than others to rank up in (S1 brag, you can't rank up in S1 like you can now because the point system was much, much harsher), but in your individual season, you are evenly matched with other people in that same season as far as points, jobs, patches, etc.

Simple, you don't decide what SE chooses as the rewards at the end of the season. They did a good job to entice people with a mount, because people love mounts, it brought people in. They took something popular, like the Uraeus Coat, and reskinned it for Feast S1/S2, and then Fenrir, reskinned that for Feast S3/S4. And again, the climb is the same for everyone, it's a competition and there will be bads dragging you down, good players carrying you, etc. The best you can do is better yourself to be the good player each match guiding your team to victory aka GIT GUD. :)

And this is where your entire argument falls apart. You bring up the same arguments time and again and keep hoping it will somehow give you a different answer. You mean to incite a forum rebellion to get what you want at the cost of others' efforts, it's exhausting to find these things and have to defend them over and over and over, especially as someone who went through all the effort to make it to the top 100.

Clearly you can tell that there are people willing to put PVP first, and through both skill and sacrifice make their way to the end of the leaderboard at the end of the season to claim their trophies. Because that's what it takes to win. Clearly you can also tell that there are people who are either unable or unwilling to do those things, and they don't make it onto the leaderboard. You don't get anywhere without sacrifice something, you just need to make your choices carefully and not complain about it after you made up your mind.

Take me for example, I am a licensed healthcare professional with a 9-5 job. I hold a managerial position. I fight to maintain work-life balance, because I still go home and cook full meals for my family (dogs included, but that's more assembly of different things [like 5] added to their bowls). I find time for long dinner/TV time with my fiance, walks with my fiance and the dogs, my fiance's family events, seeing my family, everything. But I've made up my mind here in S5 to put my time in.

I clearly have a full life, but choose to put my time into PVP because that's my choice. What I'm not trying to do is change the entire system to cater to me, my full life, to make it easier for me or anyone else unable/unwilling to put in the skill/time investment. I don't complain that the entirety of the game is inaccessible to me because I don't have time for a static for raiding/primals, because a scheduled raid cuts into family time. PVP does not do that, I queue, I get in, and my skill/time investment determines if I make it onto the leaderboard at that end of the season.

Feast rewards being exclusive makes it one of the last places where your achievements dont get erased by a sea of essential counterfeits, bought with less effort/skill than your real, hard-earned trophy.

I wrote all this for you, but I'm sure it won't change your mind, it never does because you only care about your bottom line of needing to "collect" everything. Don't let your completionism spoil the game for others, thanks.

Wow, just wow. I dont think you understand how insulting it is when asking to make these items nonexclusive. http://imgur.com/a/VlKpw Example, take my servers #1 pvper. See how he sports his trinkets and title with pride. Taking the exclusivity away would be a slap in the face to his hard work and effort. The endless queing, the bittersweet moments of having to topple friends and sometimes even family to the top, this is what it takes to get this glam. If it were available on mog station it would be meaningless and empty to sport this outfit if you didnt earn it properly.

As much as I'm not a fan of exclusive, I say the feast loot should stay where they are. Did you even try running rank PVP? It's freaking ridiculous! More so now that they removed pre-made 4v4. At most I think maybe increase top 100 per data center to top 200 maybe, and even that is stretching a little bit due to uneven spread of players and the smaller servers.

Ehh..evenly matched is a whole other can of worms. At least the system tries. But there are plenty of threads here that show how skewed it can be. This season made things "fairer" by painting everyone, stat-wise, with the same brush. I was mostly referring to the previous ones. We all have different definitions of what hard is. It's totally subjective. But this season, it sort of levels the playing field, so I can see why it would be more difficult in a sense to break ahead.

LOL! A forum rebellion?! Isn't that a bit extreme? I'm only trying to show another perspective here. If SE never makes those mounts available again in the future of the game, then it is what it is. I've made my suggestions. Once in the General forum. Once in the Japanese PVP forum. I made a post here thanking the devs for the ticket system. I hope that we can work toward the rewards as well. If not? No big deal. It's not my choice to make. Mind you, I didn't start this thread, so clearly I am not the only one who wants these things.

And hey, more power to them. I spend around 4-5 hours in the evenings playing this game. Nearly the entire time, I am queued for PVP. I am fortunate to play a tank, which is a desired role. But what if I were ranged and had to wait 30+ minutes for one match? In any given day I might get, at most 8? 10 matches? Maybe I win them all and make progress. Maybe I lose them all and fall back. Such is the PVP pendulum, but it should not be a contest of "who wants it more" to try and shelve your life aside for a digital asset. So many, in their lust for ranking, forget that this is a game. This part is meant to be competitive, sure, but at what cost?

And that's great! Like I said, more power to you. This isn't a contest to see whose life is busier. I run a business full-time (a.k.a working 12 hours a day for myself to avoid working 8 for someone else! :D) and in between charity work, spending time with my husband and family, and everything else I choose to do with my life, there's gaming. PVP rewards, at their core, are all about "who wants it more?" If you have the time/skill to put into it -- fantastic! But if you don't, why not let those people gradually work toward it? What is the harm in it? If I choose to spend a season to help care for my best friend who's stricken with cancer, did I simply not want it bad enough? If I spend a season undergoing a procedure to try and save my vision which severely restricts my screen-time (and yes, these things happened), did I just not want it bad enough? Obviously, most sensible people would drop EVERYTHING to handle those priorities. All I'm asking is for the ability to earn these things in the same way - just over time.

If you knew me at all, you'd know that I'm the farthest thing from a completionist. I also am not much of a collector of anything in game. But this is a mount I've asked for since the very first time I saw it -- long before it was ever a PVP reward. And in between the aforementioned things above, I competed. I hit gold easily enough but stopped, because the rampant win-trading, ACT trigger call-outs, and all that nonsense made trying to rank in the midst of EVERYTHING else going on, like tying your hands and feet and telling you to swim. If you were able to do it in the midst of all those things -- great! Congratulations!

Again, I am not your enemy. I don't want this mount handed out like candy. I want to be able to work toward it too. I didn't ask for things to be made easier in PVP but they were. And it's easy to see where this is going from a development standpoint. The rewards may never be available again, but things look to be shifting toward more of an accessible, inclusive -- but still competitive -- PVP system. Then again, they completely wiped light party off the map, so who knows. We will just have to wait and see.
