Yes. This is very nice. It was one of the many hassles of repairing gear.
I certainly will enjoy the convenience this provides both as a repairer and repairee. But the realism it destroys is a small concern to me. Unfortunately like a lot of players I'll take easy over realism any day of the week.(Well.. as far as FFXIV is concerned anyhow)
i personaly like that this can be done
i just hope they dont extend it over to melding U/U gear later(i think it should be kept as a BONUS to those who leveled crafts as well as combat if its done)
How about they extend it to normal melds first before thinking about U/U?
Not to mention that I have enough trouble opening the door when I carry groceries in from my car. I can't even imagine trying to hold on to 3 to 4 different sets of armor and about a dozen tools and weapons (to say nothing of all the items) while maintaining my mobility and remaining an efficient fighting/gathering/crafting machine.
Realism has left the building at this point and died an ignoble death behind the shed around back.
100% should be the samething for requesting someone to meld your gear. Should be the same thing. You go to Gear > Request Materia Meld > you check off the piece, check off the catalyst and check off the materia. If someone checks you and simply doesnt want to do it, then they simply don't have to. I'm confused on why it's not in the game already. :3
its nice except for the guy repairing who still has to change jobs/risk messing up timers (WHEN will they fix this)
So it costs gil now to have items repaired when equipped, or is it charged regardless if you have the item on or not?
I think the price is a bit too low. Can we make a higher price ourselves to give the crafters a better stimulation to repair the gear fast?
ITT: realism is a black-and-white concept.
Next step, they need to make it so I can repair my own gear in the same fashion.
