Has anyone failed Bardem's Trial...ever?

You know, the lame 'boss fight' in which you have to not get hit in any of the three trials? I have been in a party in which everyone failed one trial but me...but only one failed the other two trials. Making me believe...is this even possible to fail?

If so. How? If all four fail one trial, do you fail all three and die? Or can you fail two and succeed on the third? The even more important question: What was the point of this 'boss fight?' I mean holy crap SE...at least make it hard...or make it if one fails...all fail..and start over. I am seriously tempted to just go afk during all this and make a cup of coffee or something....I would, if I wouldn't get the glare of death from people; and I know people actually do this..cause I've been in parties with people that do..they just afk and wait until it's done. I mean..I can't blame them...it's literally a waste of time.

Anyway...back to my point...has anyone actually ever failed this...ever?

Yes I failed it twice.

First Time at the towers, because not all three were occupied.

Second time on purpose, because one player did nothing (just stand there and eating mechanics) and we decided after noticing it, to do the same ^^

If all Players fail, the party wipe.

I liked this trial. It just needs to come way earlier tha. Lv65. On topic, I failed the meteor mechanic because I thought I was supposed to catch it.

Se Tried something different. A boss with no rotations. Just awareness. It took them until 4.0 to finally branch out from: boss takes damage. Boss does mechanic. Kill boss.

I actually really like that boss. It's different and it teaches much needed battle awareness. It should be more punishing though.

It's easy but I like that SE tried to do something different.

Love that dungeon. Having something different was refreshing.

I thought it was wonderful and that is actually one of my favorite of the new dungeons because of it.

I was overjoyed to see SE try something new and make us play a tactics game instead of just mashing 1-2-3 and would LOVE to see more of this sort of thing in the future! Even an extreme fight where there is no actual dps but just a series of non-combative trials would be absolutely amazing imo.

Oh don't get me wrong. I am glad SE did something new too. I just wish they would do something new, and not make it just another joke boss fight you can afk through after avoiding a few yellow spots on the ground. I mean, at the end of the day, different as this boss mechanic is, it's still the same damn thing - something you have to tray really hard at in order to actual fail, and no difficulty at all. I mean..I get it..it's a normal dungeon, it's not meant to be savage. But that doesn't mean it has to be a friggen walk in the park either.

I think with the introduction of jump potions this boss is perfect, yes you can do this in the Hall of Novice but the mechs. in this fight are more 'difficult'. I like that it's Dodging AOE 101... Class is in session and Yoshi-P is the teacher, teach me Senpai!!

I had a tank legit just refuse to do the mechs last night. Just stood in the middle and let the 3 of us deal with it.

The only problem is if they gave it any difficulty whatsoever people would scream and cry about it, this is why we have nothing really challenging. They try and they get blasted for it. Heck in Syrcus tower where we fought the 3 atomos, Yoshi said originally it was going to require pts to split into 3 groups and finish a separate objective each before coming back together, which would have been amazing, but they didn't think the playerbase could handle it. I just like having something new period since there is little in this game that isn't a faceroll thanks to a very vocal minority.

2nd time we ran the dungeon, friends of mine and I decided that we wanted to see what's going to happen, if you can't do the whole or just parts of the trial. So we just stood in the middle and didn't move, intentionally failing. But have I ever seen it fail in DF? Nope, sure there's some players that will fail all sequences of that "boss" fight, but mostly at least 1 person makes it through, therefore nobody needs to repeat it. I am still waiting tho, that everybody fails next time I get it as roulette, but I doubt that this is going to happen, because even people that didn't do coil back in the day, unless they turn their monitor off, will be able to beat these trials. Even the ones with the slowest reaction. It's just to simple.

I would find it funny if you get booted out of the dungeon if you fail EVERYTHING!

i failed it in the name of science, you just wipe, though a trial/ex trial like this fight would be fun
