I moved off Balmung because of the 90k crashes and 3hr queues out of frustration but now I really do miss my friends... a lot. I am a big RPer and even tried to start a rp scene on a server I went to but to be in call with all of my friends hearing them have fun RPing and doing events on Balmung makes me a rather upset person, to the point of not wanting to play this game and cancel my sub til I can transfer again. I will gladly pay double to move back to be with my friends again if thats what it takes. They will never move from that server and I desperately want back in.
I know its my fault and I should have waited, but I can't change my past mistake I can only be hopeful that they will open the server again so I can be reunited with my friends on their server.

Sorry to hear that, think of it as a training adventure you can tell when you come back. While it is frustrating giving up seems like the easy way out. Eventually they may open it up again, for now however I would make new friends,

I have made a few friends and making the best of it that I can. With the attitude of most Balmung players, Balmung will open up to transfers when hell frezzes over. since balmung would have to loose about half its popluation to come even close to being open to transfers/new charicters. sadly the only real RP community in game is on balmung. As for expaning the server structor, that is easier said than done, which I surpect has something to do with 1.0 code still left in the backend of FFXIV

90002 : Server congestion ( almost all servers during release not just Balmung ) that is with every expansion on any MMO game known fact people are impatient, and eventually goes away as it settles down. Over populated, well it is a legacy server what did you expect? Same thing can happen with any server, inactivity can trough off capacity. Only really had an issue a few times during early access and on occasions not constant like most people have posted. Some of those issues could be avoided if people would step back and look at the bigger picture. Also DDOS attacks are out of SE controls it happens lots of trolls out there. PS4 issues, do to sony and they still have issue.
Player conduct: too many people are delicate and think they are special can't blame the product for human behavior. Everyone pays a fee. People get shun for not knowing their job, or not willing to try that is a not a problem by SE it's a community based problem.
Any in particular that I've missed? These seem to be the hot topics as far as I know. Most just seems to lacking patience, common sense, or want a trophy for just trying. -.- -

I knew me posting this would get people that were more aggressive and like " Sucks for you." Sorts of mindset because some people want to keep Balmung closed forever and leave the population as is. Which is understandable but A closed off world will suffer eventually. I have a feeling SE is attempting to find a way to manage the big servers more and allocate space to the larger more desired servers.
