What have u done to DRG - Change it - Now .

Dragon Sight - 6 Yalms . Im not sure if u missed like an 0 . 60 Yalm sounds better . Do it - Your Players would thank you .
Doom Spike & Sonic Thrust & Nastrond - There is one word in each which doesnt fit and should be changed .

So why exactly did they remove our suround Aoe ?
Im coming more and more closer to 70 ( 66 ) and i came to a point where im not sure to lvl further and thats fkkin horrible . DRG used to be my Mainclass .

Honestly, everyone seems content to shoehorn Dragoon into support, so why the hell not?

Your class is under performing, you should be upset, not apathetic. You're not the first class to have a support ability.

LOL. It's not a support ability. It's a half measure that we personally paid for with a giant nerf to B4B. Being tethered to someone whilst unable to perfom simple flanking supports whom?

FTR, I think the idea of a giant tether is dumb. But my point again is if DRG is in fact a support job, which is reflected in the dev statements and our current DPS pecking order, 60 yalms make far more sense than 6.

No - I dont want to stand on one point with the groupmember ^to hold the buff active - its a mess while fighting - u cant always position on one spot with someone

You do realize how large 60y is right? Also its being doubled to 12y, tho that might not save you from picking opposite flanks on large bosses.
For the record 60 yalms is the range of 2 scholars/asts using their aoe heals so the edge touches, but the opposite non shared points. Its time and a half how far medica 2 reaches.

Mirage Dive do makes the job more fun to play though.

All dragoons just settling with the junk 4.0 gave us is all...
BotD is not as interesting as 3.0, Geirskogul on that long cooldown now.
LotD, barely used. (why four eyes anyway?)
Mirage Dive is cool, but feels awkward to use. (shorter animation will likely help)
Dragon Sight, the buff all dragoons wanted, makes the job 100% better, yeah? (sarcasm)

I've seen this suggestion, Dragonfire Dive should grant dive ready. (maybe even a AoE version of Mirage Dive?)
Have Dragon Sight grant an eye. (Sight... Eye... practically speaks for itself. Maybe even sight granting two eyes?)

I'm finding myself highly confused...

Dragon Sight:
5 yalms is about the difference already from one side to the other of a largish dungeon boss. Most arenas are no more than 30 yalms across. If they intend to essentially remove the ability or otherwise entirely change it, than so be it, but a tether two arenas wide sounds outright disgusting to me. Why have the tether at all, then? And if no tether, why have the skill?

Doom Spike / Sonic Thrust:
What would better describe the area of a linear AoE than the word "line"? It being a linear AoE is actually quite advantageous in many ways. They need only:
- Increase the width of the line
- Make it not require a target, so that you're not constantly shuffling around the target or re-targeting in order to keep it aimed correctly.

We have Dragon Sight because they divided up Blood for Blood's buff into Dragon Sight, while providing the 5% to party member, and that fun, engaging tether.

And aside from Dragonfire Dive, are area attacks are line of sight (LoS).

Blood for blood and the disembowl nerf. And yes, if they are going to turn drg into a support role then our support should be equally effective, in both range and potency. Dragon sight should be raid wide and disembowl should go back to 10%. Why are all the piercing class being moved to support?

Or make Sonic Thrust a cone AOE instead of a straight line. I remember the first time I tried it in dungeons it didn't even hit most of the mob and I was like, "man the AOE is really small".

If only they would make Disembowel back to 10% or change it to 5% piercing and 5% magic debuff. That alone will make DRGs become a top raid utility Job.

The best way to improve dragoon is to make Nastrond like 600 potency.
That way it'll feel a little bit more rewarding with how stupid it is just to activate LotD
