Will we ever get a fairy race?

I think it would be cool to have wings we can customise instead of tails for once.
And it should go down well with the LGBT FCs and Linkshells.

A, humans with attached wings instead of ears now for a change?

It doesnt sound very appealing to me tbh - those wings will either clip horribly with everything or look like cheap plastic-stuff. Also: unless we're able to actually fly without a mount it would feel ridicoulos to have wings but still need a mount to fly - whats the point in those then?

Also: stereotype much there, huh? Sure, gay people must love glittery fairys...

Would be very cool, but it would hard given the waif like qualities of female au ra. I'm much more interested in this than Viera and Lupin.

Well, technically it is not too unrealistic since there are plenty of bird species that can't fly despite having wings. :p

Ignoring the ignorant LGBT comment... I really hope this doesn't happen as we already have more then enough cute and dainty races, If anything I think we need more big and elegant looking races.

As a long time Arasai player I would love to have a fairy race but, I'm afraid of how clipping would (not) be worked on :/

I would love those as a fireworks-item, similar to the angel-wings you get from the wedding. Use it, have 10 seconds of wings (that are not functional and even if they were most likely couldnt carry you through the air), go back to being a happy Roe!

Only on the condition that they're freaking stacked, male or female.

Tired of dainty waifu races. We need some variety.

People already freak out over the amount of hairstyles that clip with gear, how are wings gonna work without being even worse?

IMHO they are just ugly, over the top and unnecessary.

I can already see it:

+ Float in the air, thus be immune to standing in bad.
+ No need for anti-gravity in Catastrophe fight
+ Immune to getting knocked off platforms
+ No fall damage
+ Able to land on other players like minions
+ Jails generally ineffective when you can fit through the bars

+/- Can't jump, but you're just floating over fences anyway

- Travel double the distance on knockbacks and such
- Unable to touch the ground in Catastrophe fight
- Can't sprint, because you're not using your legs
- Can't complete Kugane jump puzzle because you can't jump
- Might actually get stuck out of bounds instead of dying when getting knocked out of platforms
- Might get preyed upon by a stray hawk or accidentally get eaten by your mount

You know I am all for other races but at some point you have to realize that the community as a whole is all over the place in regards to racial requests. Some people want Viera, others want Lupin, and many other races have been mentioned since they added Au-Ra. But the bottom line is SE probably won't add another race unless the community can come together on one. This is unlikely but the fact is that there is so many of these threads leads to the likely result of them being ignored. Personally I want Lupin but this my two cents regarding the issue of adding another race in general.

Not sure why this is getting so much hate. I wasn't thinking about SAO and I wasn't trying to offend anyone. When I was growing up people called themselves dragqueens, faries, queer, gay etc. Sorry if I'm a little out of the loop on what the LGBT claim and identify as. I was just trying to give an example of a possible big fan base for it. What races would you like to see in the game then? If wings are too much trouble.
