EU player playing on NA server - constant 90k error disconnects

Just adding this to the pile of posts already about 90k error disconnects, but with emphasis on the issue seeming to be non-NA players playing on NA servers. I am on Famfrit specifically.

Please feel free to bump this thread if you are a non-NA player playing on an NA server and have been getting disconnected constantly in the last 24 hours (since July 4th).

Right now the game is unplayable.

checking in the d/c's happnes mostly in cutscenes or while in middle of a instance or a dungeon as healer is simply awful go in and waste 7 other ppl time and game experience
and all it started after yesterday maint

Balmung player from the UK here, monday night I was getting repeated 90k errors and since then haven't had a stable connection, can't go into any instances or trials, even gathering ends up with a 90k after about half an hour or so.
The new instance doesn't crash at the same point everytime but I can't get through it.

I had this issue.. I believe it was on the 2nd or 3rd, and no one else was experiencing in my circle. Outside of launch day, it was smooth playing until that day, then in PoTD, I disconnected from 90ks something like 6 times within an hour.

I was lucky to not be booted from the group, who took sympathy on me, lol.

Now I am dealing with extreme lag and the disconnect thing pops over my head quite a bit. Hard to heal (which is my main class, AST.) Are these related?

I am in Finland, playing on Balmung.

Same here. UK player on NA server (Gilgamesh) and I booked a whole day off today to play and it's just been wasted.

Stuck in Quarymill and NOT happy.

In Puerto Rico, playing on Balmung. Can't progress through Omega single player instance. Can't do anything really but stand completely still in game, and why pay for that?

PR is part of NA, but because of the famously botched up server move in May, it means that I have to go through Spain to get to the Data Center location in Sacramento. Due to SE being far too overzealous in their DDoS countermeasures, myself and many others are being treated as, "part of the ongoing DDoS attacks."

Kept d/cing in dungeons and I am the Tank ; Tried to do an end-game trial for the MSQ and I kept d/cing, losing all of my TP and therefore also having a hard time follow mechanics. On top of that, I kept resetting the LB on everyone. This has been happening since yesterday and is grossly obnoxious not just to me but everyone in my party. I'll just have to abstain from dungeons and finishing the story until this gets resolved.

Same thing here. Playing in UK on NA server. Dc's after 2 minutes or so over in Cloudtop and husband at Bentbrench. Started today for both of us.

Pretty fed up now!

I've been having the same issue. It seems to have started after the patch maintenance. Weirdly enough, I was able to play today in the afternoon just fine (roughly 12-15 PM UTC), but any other time was just 90002 immediately upon connecting. Right now I seem to be able to stay on the server as long as I don't try to attack anything.

Pretty much the same thing here, UK player on Behemoth, unable to interact with the world from the moment of logging in. Can't do anything but move about for a minute before 90002 error. I've tried to log in once every 1.5 hours at least, and it's been the same all day. Guessing it's just from their end and they're fully aware and in the process of fixing the issue. Guess we have to just sit and wait, although i'm extremely impatient too.

How odd I never had this many disconnects before but I'm doing SSS and I keep getting the DC symbol right now and I have to close the game and go back in again. I've done this like 3 times now.

I'm in the UK playing in ULTROS.

This has been happening since about an hour ago

It has been like this for me from the moment 4.01 dropped and hasn't let up since then! I disconnected and struggled my way through the new content. Thankfully i had my FC so they were more than understanding, but it is still a very unpleasant experience to have to struggle to complete things. But i'm not sure where to direct the blame to be quite honest.

I just had 2 more DC's...

So...I am also getting the constant 90002 error and am located in the EU. After all my current experimentation, this is what I found and hopefully if someone can check it out as well to see if we can narrow down something.

1. If log onto a different system, I am able to play my one character that keep getting dc. However, that would mean I can only play an alt char on my actual system.
2. Will disconnect if I get on a mount, try to fly, or even entering a dungeon instance.
3. I am able to play as long as I run on my own legs (means cannot use my own mount unless it is only for 2 seconds) throughout an entire map. However, will not dc if I am using a mount provided by an NPC for a quest or from the NPC porter in town.

Overall, spend gils to move from point A to point B or run on your own legs. So can someone check this out if it's also happening on their account? Thank you.

These new servers are trash in the US, I have never disconnected in this game so many times in a span over a few days. My internet connection is pretty solid and it has almost never been the cause of my Disconnections. I recently just ran a dungeon, 90k'd during a boss, came back dead, NO EXP For the boss that was killed. These servers are a freaking joke and I'm being punished for things that are not within my own control.

Square Enix, STOP IGNORING THE US SIDE OF THINGS AND FIX YOUR SERVERS.

EU Player here on Aether, having the same issue in instances and the overworld. I just destroyed a Lakshmi Ex party on accident by constantly 90k'ing. Anytime I use a mount, I get a DC symbol and disconnect.

SE, please look into this, it's making the game nearly unplayable.

Not only EU players, South American players like us brazilians too are suffering from it

EU Player playing on Balmung. Recent 90002 Error now causes a 2002 error when I try to log back into the data center.

SA player on NA server reporting! Stuck at Omega's solo instance, can't queue for anything else cuz server kicks me before I even get in anything. Second day of sub gone to the trashbin.

I am from Puerto Rico that's north america and i am getting disconnecting after a few minutes, at first i though it was when i teleport but no it just happens after a few minutes T.T

How's people's connections today? Im at work so haven't tried it myself

I have been able to play, but with in 5 mins I get dc'd maybe less than this. Strangely I am always mounted. I go back to when I did mount up. Very odd.

I contacted support, they told me to try and change the DNS (from my ISP's to Google's), but it didn't resolve the issue.

Like yesterday I just got dced twice.... Same time again.

Me and my fiancée resubbed recently and upgraded her acc to Collector's as well since we just hit 20.

Constant disconnects on my computer, but not hers, while in Duties.

We run the same hardware, same OS (Win 10, 64-bit) and everything else is similar. Yet only I experience the disconnects.

Ever since the restart yesterday to kick out afk players, I've been completely unable to play! Any time I run around in an area, the game will just randomly boot me, giving me error 90k. If I teleport, I load the area, but cannot see my character, it doesnt load at all. Then after a few seconds I get disconnected.

Is this to do with DDOS attack? Why am I dcing so many times over the past few days?

German player on Goblin (Aether). Constantly getting the 90002 error when i try to teleport or when i'm using an item. I do get teleportet though. This started after the last maint and every other european player in my FC is having the same problems. I contacted the chat support yesterday and they told me to change my DNS, flush my DNS, renew my IP (not possible), check my firewall settings (they never changed) and delete my FFXIV settings. Nothing worked. I just logged on and tryed to teleport just to get kicked of the server again.

Are you trying to force us to move to EU data centers SE? Your lack of information gives room for a lot of wild speculations.

My problem is also these constant 90k dc's, i play from the netherlands on the Cactuar server, before de DDoS counter meassures everything was fine (well not fine with the attacks). but as of this moment i can't even play instanced content, or i have to watch out when i mount. if i do this i get the famous 90k.

the americans playing there seem to have no troubles at all. i have to use a vpn for gods sake in order to stay online, which i find bonkers.

i think wat pisses me of most is the square is so damn silent about this matter, even when i sent them a ticket i got some stupid auto response back. i fear at this rate the problem won't be fixed for weeks :( this is how you lose subs, sucks the joy out of the game.

To make life easier for the team and let them investigate in more detail:

Frequency : since implementation of Omega
Time : usually around 19:30 BST

it seems it's not just EU players but people out of THE US having this issue too.

Really hope they looking into this ASAP. I would of thought moving data centers would of been for the best buy so far is proving the opposite.

Whenever I log into the game it seems to work fine, but as soon as I teleport or enter combat in any way I instantly get disconnected. Been happening for 3 days now and it absolutely unacceptable. The only way I've been able to play is via a VPN which I definitely shouldn't need to use.

Swedish player on Cactuar.

Issue persists for me, EU (Swiss) player on Balmung (Aether). Can login without trouble but as soon as I interact with anything, teleport, enter an instance, get onto my chocobo, etc. I am getting a 90002 error.
I'm able to play with a VPN that masks my IP as being from the US though. Can I send the invoice for the VPN to Square Enix?
