Here's to me wishing they'll introduce FFX Sin as a dungeon, and we have to go inside Sin, and ultimately fight Yu Yevon. Maybe featuring Final Aeon Braska as a primal EX fight?

Would love to see Seymour make an appearance too. Perhaps as a FATE with 4 phase fight where he'll transform from Seymour > Seymour Natus > Seymour Flux > Seymour Omnis whenever he loses 20% HP.

Omega crossing through dimensions has nothing to do with FF8. It's been a thing since FF5. Literally everything about the raid is FF5 related.

Omega also told us that combatants were grouped according to dimension, which makes it sound like FFV's combatants were limited to Deltascape and the other eggs will contain representatives from different games.

well you are calling this a dissidia raid, and ultimacenia has nothing to do with dimensions, she was time based. This raid is based on ff5, not other ff gams. Even I know this, and never played it.

Midgardsormr explains in the cutscene after the second raid that Omega is pulling from all kinds of factual and fictional events and stories. While yes, it is based on FFV, it wouldn't be terribly outlandish to think we might see something from another game as well.

Either way, it was mostly a joke thread because Ultimecia is Best Girl and she'd be Best Boss.

actually, it's not a ff5 raid related... omega say it at the start, the group are placed into the egg per dimension, since delta one was ff5, the other will not be ff5, means the next series will probably be another FF than the 5, sorry to disappoint you.

we can say which one will not be into this raid, since we already did get boss from previous ff, like ivalice (ff12 included) will come from the raid 24... or the FF3 coming from crystal tower.

Kefka and Sephiroth strike me as the "Oh shit we're running out of money quick we need more subs now" emergency buttons.
Kefka himself would work better as a four "Boss" raid where each "Boss" is a different tier based on the final confrontation in FFVI. Besides, if any villain would be fun in a more lasting capacity, it's be Kefka "Clean the sand off my boots" Palazzo.

That out of the way, Exdeath didn't actually die. He got sucked into the void just like in FFV, because Omega thought opening a void portal within his simulation was a good idea. So Neo Exdeath may be a distinct possibility.

Neo exdeath will be that 'twist' that was mentioned exclusively for savage.

Considering that Neo Exdeaths theme is in the games files... I mean really.

It is kind of Dissidia based though. 80 something different created beings of various fictional/factual dimensions all fighting among each other to see who is the strongest? Seems pretty Dissidia to me.

While yes, this set of fights is themed on FF5, it is very much in the realm of possibility that we will be encountering various other characters and beasties from other FF games in the other tiers. It's a clever way to allow us these "OMGosh it's X!" moments while still allowing it to canonically exist in the world of 14.

MisterLucie, my brain followed the same path as yours did for this.

If I'm also followimg the dialogue, Deltascape would be the FFV dungeon, so we could easily see another "egg" based on another underappreciated chapter in FF canon, like FFVIII.

Plus with all these hints toward a gunblade job (looking at you, Nero and Fordola!), putting an FFVIII sector would be be icing on the cake. Not just Ultimecia, either, imagine a Griever boss!

I'm kinda putting my "eggs" in the basket of the other raids being drawn from FF1, 4, 11, 12 or 13 since they are the numbered games in the series, other than 5, that had Omega appear. Though some of them in "spin off" or "sequel" moments, such as 13-2 DLC pack or FF4: after years.

That said, Omega also appears in a lot of spin-off titles so it is entirely possible to draw from them.

I got major 13-2 vibes from the area outside of the actual duties. Reminded me a lot of the Historia Crux and that future tower area.

I would expect a "7" dungeon would more likely be Jenova themed

the 4 fiends or the moon weapon guardians would also make for a good theme(though i'd personally hope for the 4 fiends to be a series of trials)

1 has a nice "4 fiends" as well

3 and 6 have already been somewhat stripmined so i'm struggling to see anything else as perfect as using the dimensional castle bosses from 5. I guess they could just use random stuff like Doomtrain and Hidon

I personally think they will play along with this dimensional thing. For instance, we got all the mean guys from V. I expect the next raid tier will be FFIV based, with potentially the elemental fiends, Golbez and Zeromus.

If they do a FFVI world, I want Kefka, Phantom Train, Wrexsoul and of course, the best boss of all, Ultros.

As much as I would like this to be a Dissidia raid, having another crack at Gilgamesh would be fun as hell.
