ps3 will save this game!

Right now we all just have to ride it out and support squaresoft and yes i refuse to add enix in there for personal reasons but...ya when 2.0 goes live and ps3 release this game will come back to life! I have always been a long time final fantasy fan even thou i had to suffer thou ff x-2...but i have hope for this game ;)

Meh it'll be fine once they redo all the maps... and start adding content worth doing... Sure everything will be fine... Just not as big "population wise" as it should've been however :/

very true all the maps look the same...

If this game has 150k subs in the summer of 2013 I would be very surprised.

I wouldn't, I'd be surprised if it's that low, given exactly how Japan itself is mostly console based in terms of commercial gaming.

100k subs is the number I have felt would be fair. SEs MMO track record doesnt exactly inspire tons of confidence in me for an unseen future. However feeling the severs will have somewhere between 2 and 8 times as many current players as it has now is fairly generous in my opinion.

FFXI neared 1 million active subs (since people don't consider character count important to anything) which was pretty high back in 2004, FMO neared 350k iirc, which was a lesser IP compared to FF.

So...what track record are we speaking of? XIV track record? To be fair I never understood the whole "track record" argument.

The track record of releasing an MMO that is a shell of a game, FFXI was a shell at JP release and so was FFXIV. This 2.0 coming in a year is basically a new game has SE learned how to release a new MMO in a state ready to be played and enjoyed by several hundred thousands of people? The 2 strikes against them say no. Fool me once(FFXI release) shame on you. Fool me twice(FFXIV release) shame on me. Fool me three times (FFXIV 2.0)...thats not gonna happen I doubt I will be here for 2.0.

I would be willing to play 2.0 if I am not into another MMO by then but its a year away chances are something else will have hooked me by then.

I predict they'll break 1 million subs in 1.5 years starting in v2.0
