I think it was better have the housing locked for some time when a "new world" is added to datacentre.
Or else, all the housing goes in the hands of whoever transferred there. As it happened. A lesson for the future, I hope.

But that's the idea, the people who transferred might have left behind a house, are you saying they shouldn't be able to buy a house again? No one would have transferred then if it meant losing their house.
I don't agree with that, whoever is first in the new district that opened up, should have all rights to purchase a plot. Don't matter if that person transferred there or have been there for a while, nor does it matter if somebody just made a new character etc. It would be funny tho, if we get the new housing area's for purchase up tomorrow, a lot of people still haven't received their orders, others still haven't gotten a key, another bunch is still leveling since they wanted the 15 days free etc. I can see that discussion going down hill really quick, if that's happening lol
Besides, how long as we talking? If level 70s move to a new server, even a month or so later who is to say the new players would have enough money saved up by then to purchase the Large or even Medium plot?
Don't forget the people that make their first character ever on the new server.
They will be left behind any transferring player because haven't got the time to make the Gil required for the plot. Is that really just?
But that was kind of the main focus, to get some of us off of highly populated worlds and an excellent chance at getting a plot we wanted that could never obtain on our old worlds.
Otherwise, why even move at all. I've been playing since 2010 and why should a new player then get what I've waited for years... that's why it is first come first served, that is the only real fair way.
Of course they will be behind, any person making a new character should be well aware that they are far behind transfered high level characters. It would be pretty unfair if new players just got tons of gil for being there and enough time to get the same chances as players who already worked for a longer time and even changed servers to get that house.
This statement have a number of ussues, the first is "tons of Gil": the bonus actually active gives you exactly 1,000,000 Gil, and I find it quite far from "tons" of Gil. The second is, the player that worked hard already got an housing and now transferring for his convenience, hence he must run the "first come, first served" on a fair place, where everyone got the chance (and the time) to get enough Gil for at least the small plot.
Allowing the housing purchase from day 1 made all new players looking at the housing being filled by all transferring players, and that is plain unfair.
