LF JP server with many English speakers except Tonberry

My friend and I return for this game after 2 years and now we're looking for a Japan server (because we're in Asia atm) with many English speakers and friendly because Tonberry is now too crowded and cannot create new characters.
Please give us some hints and adivces.
Would be appreciated for your help.

I have an alt on Typhon (the world you're in) and there are a few English speaking FCs there.

yeah but I never see anyone shout on the world chat, haven't join any FC to check. Is there any LS that speak English as well?

Except for Tonberry, you're not going to see any English shouting on any other JP server. While there are pockets of English players, there's not enough that shouting does any good for English players.

Masamune was the pre-launch/legacy Oceanic server, so there's plenty of English speakers there. It was the server I was on until they unlocked non-legacy servers for legacy players.

Outside of tonberry server there isn't any high populated english speakers in the other JP servers. The few Eng speakers are bilingual and can speak/type and read Japanese language.

Well, according to xiv census the most active worlds are bahamut, chocobo, mandragora, shinryu, tonberry and carbuncle. So whichever ones of those that aren't locked is probably your best bet. Typhon is one of the lowest pop worlds, my bf plays on it and he rarely encounters foreigners except in DF. Obviously english speakers exist on all the JP servers, but a higher pop server would probably have more.

That's not quite true. A lot of English players use the auto-translate function (especially those who played FFXI and were used to it). Also, as I mentioned, Masamune still has a fairly large English speaking population, though nothing compared to Tonberry.

anyone know how can we check when the server ready for create new character, like the periodic time that SE will look at the server to decide which type it is (every week maintenance), I still give hope on tonberry

Nobody knows when they will open the servers up again. Wait for news from SE on lodestone.

There's generally no point in checking the character creation status page, as by the time you look at it, people have likely already filled it back up again. Your best bet is to try and make a character in the very early morning Japan time (GMT +8).

However, that doesn't apply to Tonberry. Tonberry has become congested, so they have permanently shut down new characters and transfers unless it happens to become uncongested again... which I don't see happening.

I would seriously check out Masamune.

Masamune is available now but others suggest not choose it as it's a legacy server so almost players are full level now and already got their static, hard for new players to begin a new train

At this point whether a server is legacy or not really makes no difference.

I was with a FC called Harmonium for about a year while on Atomos. I technically still am, but only have an alt there now and visit occasionally, albeit less with SB out. Regardless they usually always have someone on and pretty friendly. Of course Atomos itself isn't exactly a populated server, just giving another option.

Kujata has a few English speaking FCs that are active. There are currently 3 FCs with over 100 members and a few smaller sized FCs. My FC is also friendly with some JP players and we have LS with JP players that communicate with us through English. I peronally find that the JP community on Kujata is more approachable than in Tonberry.

Of course, the English population is not as large as Tonberry. However, you won't feel lonely, given the close-knit community.

I'm trying at Masamune now, quite many players but still very quiet, hope everthing change when i'm joining an FC or LS

I think we gonna try all the server that you guys advices until find the suitable place for us

Shoot me a tell on Masamune, I can get you into an english LS to start.

There's also >20 EN FCs, and that's a rough estimate.
