Balmung Confession

I used to hate the server, before I moved to it. Why? Because people told me to, and I went along with it. There was no other reason. I think the majority of its hate is simply spread by rumors.

People just need to calm down and ignore other people. If people on Balmung like to ERP, let them ERP. To many players get triggered and feed the trolls.

I used to be in Hyperion and Gilgamesh. Balmung is a nice place, I personally enjoy it a lot. I don't E/RP, but cities are lively because of their RP and there's plenty of nice people around saying random stuff that makes you giggle. There's a small end-game community where I belong to, so I'm in a middle ground in between laid back people and raiders.

I love how busy Balmung is. There are plenty of nice people, no gil selling spammers, and you can find whatever you want on the MB.

That's nice if you're not into the sick erping they do there I guess.

I have an alt over there and I love it. It feels so alive with people RPing all over the place. Makes me wish people did it on my home server too. The ERP thing is completely blown out of proportion though. People act as if it's done out in the open.

Reminder that server doesn't matter. I've had a Lamia couple trying to erp in my roulette before, but you don't see me calling Lamia an erp zone.

I would die laughing if I saw that. As a Lamia native I have legitimately not seen a single instance of serious RP (Every once in awhile someone is sarcastically mocking it though) in 2 1/2 years on the server.

I'm sure it was actually jokey, but point still stands. Plus actual serious erp happens in private. For obvious ToS reasons.

I had three people from Siren try to pull me into their ERP in PotD. So yeah it really isn't always Balmung.

You realize that not all those questions ARE from Balmung? At FanFest NA there were other similar questions from different servers.

Shouldn't this be in the Balmung server forum? Just saying, don't know why all these Balmung threads are being posted in General Discussion.
