BRD Melds- Any Advice?

Not much else I'm looking for, just advice. o.o/ Crit still being the priority by the looks of it, what else should I go for?

Have we decided that Det<SS?

Pretty sure DET does not affect autoattacks, this wasn't an issue in 3.0 because of minuet but now that AAs are back I can see why people would think Det isn't very good for DoWs.

Skill Speed affects the potency of DoTs, which is where a lot of BRDs overall damage comes from, so it makes sense for SkSp to be over Det.
I'm thinking the same as Maximillian: Crit > Direct Hit > SkSp.

We don't know stat weights right now, but since skill speed would only be increasing DoT damage where as Determination supposedly increases ALL damage, I would assume that skill speed is pretty garbage for Bards right now. We still don't know stat weights so everything is just speculation right now, but I would still put Crit > DH > Det as the main 3 skills.

A quicker gcd is more useful now that we get much more off fishing for straighter shot procs as well. Plus it scales nicely with the current AP and as others have mentioned also boosts DoT damage. Det hasn't been shown to be much better than it used to be despite them saying they buffed it.

I am 100% certain that Det is still our 2nd best stat. Direct hit is not the same as crit. where as crit increases your crit chance AND the potency of your crits, direct hit only increases your chance for direct hits. crit>det>dh>sks

I'm only Lv60 BRD, but I'm moving towards Crit (for procs) and Skill Speed (for the dot damage).

Completely random post on a random subreddit shows:

WD: 17.416
Dex: 1.000
Crit: 0.412
Direct Hit: 0.274
Det: 0.227
SS: 0.152

Take it for what it's worth: I have no source aside a note in the post "from 2Ch", dunno the testing methodologies, have not tested it (though I have followed it just in case it is accurate), and I can't tell you what tomorrows lotto numbers are.

Noticing very few bards lately, even while being one of the most changed classes since heavensward.

This would be true in the case of every stat scalling at the same rate, since this never happens, your statement isn't necessarily true, DET was utterly garbage in HW becuase it just won't give any damage due how it scaled.

I'm going to say that Skill Speed is for sure the worst thing to take. Take Crit first. Then Det and Direct Hit are most likely almost tied for 2nd/3rd.
