Good idea, Balmung players should be kept as far away from normal people as possible.

I for one am glad I'm on the same data center with them. Because they are a high population server, there are always people on, effectively shortening our queue times for duties (granted maybe not atm, but that's due to the amount of Rdm and Sam in queues right now) and bringing life to our duty finder. My server is far from dead, but once cross server pf went live there's always been stuff on there, even during off times.
Besides, these issues are a thing now because expansion hasn't been up for long, it'll get better once a couple people go back to being inactive as they always do during patches.
So before crying for the high pop servers to get removed, think of the consequences.

1. Gilgamesh is still a part of Aether, so even if they did maroon Balmung, Aether would not lack for people.

2. The limiting reagent for DF pops is usually tank, and sometimes healer for alliance raids. Unless Balmung has an atypical ratio of jobs among its players and has a higher concentration of tanks to DPS compared to other worlds, it's not speeding up queues at all. Hell, given the fact that it's the RP hub, I wouldn't be surprised if it had an abnormally higher concentration of weeb SAMs which would mean it's actually detrimental to the queue, but that's just a pet theory.

I don't really support any motion to quarantine Balmung; it's unfeasible. But its existence in Aether is absolutely not doing the rest of us any favors at all.

Actually Balmung and RP servers in general in all MMOs have a higher tank/healer ratio to dps than any other servers. Most every RP FC you can find has an overabundance of tanks and heals.

Edit: And generally speaking? RP communities tend to be the ones against sudden influxes of things like 'weeb' Samurais as they don't fit the current theme of things naturally and easily.
