upon SE finally deciding to raise the rank cap from 50 to whatever;
At rank 50, you must partake in your first limit break quest in order to achieve rank 51-55
Rank 52, your first quest for your first piece of Artifact Armor is offered to you.
Rank 54, your next piece of Artifact Armor is offered to you via quest.
etc
etc
Rank 60, your final piece of class specific gear is offered to you via quest and fight. (dyed to the color of your choice) Pieces could be final product or mats to craft the rare/ex class and rank specific gear
Also, one more idea for the artifact gear, or any gear for that matter: NMs should drop special rare/ex colors of dyes and paints for you to craft up the final piece of rare/ex gear. (as in; "He has Blue Iron Plate Cuirass, he must have killed a certain NM to get that color paint/dye")
What do you guys think? I would LOVE to see this happen in FFXIV.

If limit breaks can be soloed, sure. I'm not sure if a game with populations in the low 30 thousands needs to make quest (which are manditory to progress) party related.

limit break no thx u remind me of FFXI from 50-60 lvl cap and AF no i say no ok the idea to dye your armor its fine but the game still need to stand up so dont talk about raising lvl at the moment after 1 year we will see what will happen

Unless they make limit breaks something that people have to do with each class( which they wont do) they quest is going to have to be something stupidly cheezy because dont forget not everyone is leveling fighting classes.

I quite enjoyed the limit break quests, as much as they were a pain (eldieme parchment i'm looking at you) once you had done them it did give a good feeling of accomplishment.
