Close free transfers to Omega

I've been in queue for 30 min already, and there's still 1002 players ahead of me. Can we close the free transfers already please, or do we wait untill the whole Balmung comes here?

I was just about to post this. Got disconnected in a dungeon and got stuck in a 1254 queue. Down to 654 now. It was nice to get some population, but we're good now. :P

Yeah, mayhap it's time to shift the population to Louisoix now... I've seen Omega get closed to new characters already. Ideally we need an entire new datacentre.

try balmung with 7000ppl in queue at prime time - people queue in the morning before work, so they can play in the evening, because once you get in, you preferably don't log out - people use various tricks to bypass out-log out, and sit afk for hours.

I just made a ticket asking if we can transfer from Omega to Louisoix. I am 99% sure the answer will be no, but never hurts to try, right?

Exactly. I think that the population was fine already. They should make people go to the other unpopulated servers before Omega becomes Balmung 2.0. Keeping the free transfers active with the current population makes no sense.

Isnt omega ehh.. a EU Server? Soo why would a NA come to an EU Server and assume omega will become the next balmug.. I mean.. look at Lich lol. And hf with latency.

Because since the NA data center move, for some people, the pings are the same (or better) to EU servers.

edit: Also there are/were a lot of EU players on Balmung that may be moving "home" now.

Actually, we have a ton of people coming from Balmung, either because of RP, because they were europeans to start with, or because they're from the east coast and get a similar ping after the NA datacenter relocation.

A lot of EU roleplayers who dealt with ping issues on Balmung moved over to Omega and are hoping to make it the EU roleplay server. Unfortunately, raiders had a similar idea, so... Louisoix might need some love.

Hopefully they will let me give it some love. I transferred well before knowing that Omega was going to be EU-Balmung. :P

People that log in and go afk for 8 hours while they are work are some grade A &#&## and are just contributing to the problem.

Yeah, whats funny is people will flood out of Balmung, crowd these little servers, giving them the exact same problems, our population will drop to comfortable levels, then people will want to come back but cant because even though the population would make transfers ok, SE will take a year to reopen Balmung.

Watch, in 2-3 months there will be a bunch of threads from Omega and Matus demanding Balmung and Gilgamesh also be reopened.

People have never stop to begin with, cause people had a fit when balmung was closed to begin with.

I know a crapton of Americans who just never liked playing with American people. It's a normal thing, specially with MMOs.

I sincerely regret moving from ragnarok to this.

Now 1400+ in queue, basically what there was on Ragnaropk at the same hour.

What was the point ?

Well on the plus side, maybe all these "There is a solution for queues, just transfer" will finally understand that a temporary workaround is not a solution...

Not a solution AT ALL.

I transfered just an alt and both servers Omega and Cerberus have queue. So...

The current problem shows that SE should have a constant eye on the new servers and low populated servers to see an approximate amount of active players.

They would see that they actually need to closed some servers, give otger servers the same incentive, and create new servers according to the 3 regions. SE has been lazy. If they should do what other MMOs do to show an idea of the server population with labels such as populatipn : high, low, medium, overcrowed, extremely low. It cpuld help future customer to select the world they want to play in.

One thing about queues and another about queues not moving at all due to people holding spots for hours on end.
Be nice to have a better "afk kick" system in place for this period of congestion. Current measures do not work.

Or just lift the login restrictions and just have number limits by zones. At least we can still play in the old zones...

That's for character creation, not transfers. Balmung was closed too but people could transfer to it.

2. Nothing the devs really did, that is their system seeing a large queue and closing the server off at character creation

I just transferred a character to Omega about 45 minutes ago. You can still transfer there for free + incentives.

Also, I can't log into any character on my account right now because of it, so it's a bit frustrating. Going on an hour delay waiting on the transfer to finish.

I'm on omega and more than willing to pay for a transfer back to famfrit NA lmao

A lot of people on Omega are those who want to get 15 days play time, because Louisoux was opened later when people had already started leveling. It should quiet down a little once people reach level 30.

I hope so, I disconnected (again) into a 1900+ queue this time.

Me and my friend went there because we thought "ok screw it, we don't have a FC, let's switch on a new server where there will be people thanks to the incentives, but at least we won't have queues".

I think there were many like us who used the free transfer for no other reason that getting to a less crowded server, but still active.

I'm sure it'll quiet down too, and that worries me, because then the server will be pretty much dead and we'll have transferred for nothing =(...
