Shirogane opening

When does Shirogane opens up ?
any news regarding this so we can set up tents near the plots >.>

Minimum 2 weeks after start I would guess.

There has been no date stated. There was no mention of it when they did the "2 & 4 weeks after sb launch" slides, so until an announcement is made, no one knows but Square.

Also understand only one ward is open ahead of that time period, so everyone figuring they'll camp in front of the plot they want is going to be competing against everyone in the first ward.

yea, I'll be camping near the aether so I can teleport to another ward obviously ;)

probably best bet is to tele to a subdivision at one of the bottom wards

Ive talked about housing to countless people, and EVERYONE, i mean EVERYONE keeps saying this "ill go to subdivision on ward 9/10/11/12). In the end i think safest bet is main divisions on the first wards.

either that or a main division in the middle, but in all reality in a large world like mine you have to be one of the first players on, last time when they opened more up here i got error'd out on login and by the time i got on all smalls were gone and i started to log in right as servers went up

I was always guessed we can buy Shirogane on 20th june. But, uh no opening...

In big servers, getting a house in shirogane will be extremely hard.... Good luck to everyone.

Best bet is to wait in one of the three original ones and snag whomever uses the moving feature which they said would be released simultaneously.

moving feature ?

I think it'll be several months before we see it open for purchase. Its a good tool to bring back players so when sub's start falling that's when.

My prediction is 4.1 or 4.15 when we get Shiogane opened up

Adding a moving feature that allows free companies that already have plot

My hope is that we see it open sooner than the next major patch--opening Shirogane would be a good tool for motivating people to finally transfer off of their congested servers. Right now, even in the lowest population servers, there aren't many plots left, and most of them are small. Actually opening new plots might finally convince a few people that the time is right to transfer for available housing.

Also, the fact that they teased it by opening it now means it's done and ready to go. If they made us wait multiple months for something already in place in the game, I would be pretty displeased.

I think it will. The ones at mist are all closed now, same with gridania, well some are open but goblet is a lot of spaces left.

Pretty sure she meant Omega the boss, not Omega the server.

I hope they add limitations on it finally, like not having logged in for 6 months, lose the plot and get 50% in gil back. people rush to get them just to have it and can never again log in boycotting active people.

But there are currently restrictions in place. If you don't access your house in (30?) days you lose it and get to reclaim your furniture and (80%?) of your gil spent on the land. Unless I am misunderstanding your post.

Except they will just intentionally time it perfectly so that the second they are moving, an FC mate snatches up the open land.

Not the entire server is gonna do that, so many plots will be left open.

Then someone else gets a house, it just happens to be their fc mate? That also requires the other person to have gotten through the queue and to the old plot before someone else come darting up to the new plot to either snipe it or force the move. On busy servers no one's going to wait for their friend to get through the queue if their desired plot is available.

I could swear I remember either a mention at Fan Fest or an interview or something that mentioned not before 4.1. But I can't find anything to back that up now.

I am so glad I got a house in Gridania, I can sit out the house rush this time around. I am happy where I am at.

I'm hoping to get me a large plot at shiro though

Honestly, I hope they offer Free Company server transfers first. Leave the housing go for a few months, get the servers taken care of first.

Why bother wasting a ton of money on an FC house on a high-pop server when you could transfer?

Also, it's kinda of a d move to players on that high pop server.

I figure everyone and their FC gonna make a dash for the housing plots on that same day.

My FC agrees to let me have the old mist plot if we manage to move to Kugane. But that is too much risk. They have to get the big plot and I have to get into mist in time.

I stalked housing boards for two-three weeks and got a mid for myself.

Seriously, check housing boards every hour if you can. I have personally spotted at least 6 small plots and 1 large plot. Some of these went unsold for over an hour! Hell, I relinquished my small plot and bought a mid one. And I stood around for half an hour while my FC buddy came online to buy my old plot.

It has been easy to get a house on Behemoth - you are correct in just need to stalk the boards every hour...I've owned several over time in different places. I just relinquished this characters Mists medium to prep for Shiro rush...I wanted my gil back (rather than losing it moving) especially since it was more than the plot was currently worth.

Why haven't we gotten a date yet?

They said 4.1 didn't they? When's 4.1 going to be, another month?

Where ? lot's of people say different dates but never provide a source.

They haven't said any date/patch version. They've only said it would be after 4.0.
