Chocobo speed for 2.0

So when I heard you could increase your chocobo speed for the 2.0 I was very excited. I went to my grand company and went through all the I could buy with all my company seals I had saved up, but I couldn't find them.
So then I saw the other guy you can buy stuff with allied seals from doing the hunts and I thought hopefully they'll be cheaper than the heavensward prices because it's the old areas. But was miffed to find they also cost 250. And I haven't got a lot of seals and would take me a long time to be able to buy them.
So I'm asking if you could buy them with company seals (something like 2500) or have the weekly hunt become daily.

i to do not understand this, hunts are nothing more then a giant grind for the sake of grinding and it takes 4000 allied seals to get each area, i have 80k company seals that i have nothing to spend on so why not let me spend those

I think the idea is that you don't get them all on day one. I only have three left to buy and I barely hunt at all, and didn't have that many seals saved up in advance (though I did have a few).

i just feel as if SE has this unnecessary paranoia when it comes to movement in general. passable limitations are in the form of heavensward flying mounts, which admittedly gave players more reason to explore the landscape before flying all around it. unnecessary limitations usually include abilities like shukuchi, which admittedly has a fairly long CD for what little it does in combat.

however, considering that sprint was recently nerfed, and now this, there is no doubt in my mind that there is some redundant reason why the developers wont just let us move freely without giving us a certain time consuming task.

I only need 2 more 2.0 speed boosts and I haven't even tried grinding them.

this is mostly why people quit games like this early, and now that sprint is nerfed, those below level 20 are going to experience an much more slower game than when we first started. imagine that.

respectively, there are those whom have pushed through. but that does not mean they should live with the unnecessary hardships the game offers, and not say anything about it.

Because giving it for free would make people expect things for free.

People already demand the expert dungeons give free gear, just because dungeons before it do.

I agreed that the sprint nerf is uncalled for, but I disagree with having to work for the extra mount speed. Looking at it from another perspective, a new player can see a veteran player zooming in faster across the map and be impress and curious for a second on how that is possible, which then may become something they can look forward to achieve. And let's be honest here, there will be people complaining anyway, be it having nothing to do or having something lock behind an artificial gate. It's simply statically impossible to please everyone. Also, these seals isn't exactly a big or tough grind either, just take some time to work on it. Though I do agree with OP that having a secondary option to get around it is a good idea. It's always nice to have more choice after all, especially with some players having loading issues when hunts become overcrowded.

admittedly, dungeon items are a far different matter than how fast you can travel on a mount.

furthermore, i would not mind if the new system stay as is. however, the problem is how much time the developers want players to spend unlocking something as simple as travel speed. as it stands by other player opinions, allied seals are far less convenient than company seals.

But catching up is inevitable for a new player in a MMORPG. If riding a chocobo and unlocking flying are both locked behind progression, how is this any different? At this point it almost sounds like you just want to benefit the new features without working for it. I support more choices to obtain the new speed, I also support the re-adjustment to the cost for ARR manual as there are far more areas to unlock, but I don't think SE is wrong just because they decided we should put in some work to benefit from said feature. And also, with regards to your previous comment, no. I'm not one for exclusive or be a special snowflake.

ill say again that i do not mind the new system. at least not entirely, for the devs could have chosen a different currency to unlock the feature and make it less time consuming.

i'm sorry that you take my previous comment personally, but the message was not exclusively for your observation. just because veterans achieved what new players cannot do yet, does not mean veterans should keep their over-glorified pride and not speak up for new players every once in a while. some will do nothing but encourage new players to "be me" and deal with it, which is just tough motivation.
