Soundtrack: Meh!

Am I the only one who like the Heavensward and ARR music? I haven't heard a theme from Stormblood that I liked yet other than the last bosses in dungeons, and I only got into that one because of a certain NPC boss in a certain castle.

I enjoy all of them Stormblood songs so far except for the two primal themes.

Lahkshmi is, in my opinion, dreadfully horribly annoying and it grates on my nerves.

Susano is, in my opinion, just pretty mediocre, the beating drums and such don't really excite me. It's just pretty meh.

Yes I agree with this. The two primal themes are one of the worst on the whole game but everything else is very very good. Great job with the dungeon and area themes. Also great night and day and battle themes.

I really, really, REALLY hate the Stormblood Map Battle Music! D:<<< So annoying and loud! D:< I was walking as Ninja - Invisible-mode to avoid any combat! Give us darn switches to turn off battle music and annoying fate/quest jingles too!! Im so pissed... finaly my 2 beautis hit lv60 on rdm and sam after boring+90k.o. days of palace of death-> did my 1st footstep in new Stormblood map and heavily got dissappointet by the battle music we STILL cant turn off -_____- Stormblood is unplayable for me now! I dont turn off the whole music ether.

Are you crazy?! Lahkshmi is wonderful! I like bollywood music, and all the SB music is great.

IMO, excluding thordans theme, the 3.0 soundtrack was also meh, 3.1-3.5 is when it got much better.

I like all the Stormblood music.

I love the Azim Steppe music, so I don't know what you are talking about.

I've loved the soundtrack so much! Susano was one of the weaker primal themes but it wasn't bad, Lakshmi is really nice too!

Azim Steppe has the best music in this game. I had to get the scroll so I could play it in the FC house. I don't really care much for the Heavensward music, but that may be because I was under a lot of stress during most of that expansion.

On the contrary. I found ARR and HW's ost to be meh and this is the first time i'm truly enjoying it.

Especially the final boss theme.

Lakshmi's theme was very indian inspired. Which makes sense considering there is a Hindu goddess by the same name.

I don't know! Maybe I just need to sit and listen to them all the way through. Video game music is a huge factor for me, so I just felt a little different about Stormblood's themes.

Azim Steppe is somehow really nastolgic to an older kind of game I used to play but can't quite put my finger on. The voice just works really well in what I would imagine a modern day FFX calm lands to look and feel

boss battle , Kugane , azim , the theme that sounds everytime Lyse talks (name?) and im missing more :)

Azim Steppe's music is so beautiful, its already my favorite idling spot lol.


The only song I don't really care for is Doma Castle's. Its not even that its bad, its just kinda meh next to all the other dungeons.

What's the name of the Azim Steppe song. I am not finding it.

I far enjoy the soundtrack of Stormblood. Never liked ARR or Heavensward that much to be honest.

I love SB soundtrack lol HW had like Thordan and nidhogg but that's about it to me that is lol and SB boss soundtrack is crazy but I love lakshmi

Personally, I'm enjoying the SB field music a little more than HW's (notable exceptions are Foreland's daytime theme and the daytime theme for Hinterlands, which was reminiscient of Baba O'Riley by The Who).

That said, I'm waiting to hear the raid themes when they come out, the music for Alexander was absolutely fantastic.

I enjoy Stormblood's sound tracks and personally, I prefer it over heavenwards.

I just wish the zone music wasnt on a constant loop. Sometimes i dont need a constant jingle or choire to be reminded of the zones theme..

I like all the FFXIV music. Soken and Nobuo have done another great job.

I hope I can get the Bardam's Meddle theme and the theme of the Lochs soooooon. I wanna listen to them all day!

I loved HW best videogame music bar like none. Especially the stuff that's more otherwordly. Haven't got to SB yet, but the music on Youtube Im not loving as much. Then again i dont love gridanias music but it rly fits so maybe same with SB.

What annoys me is that the Settlement Music is always the same at least in Azim-steppe, rubysea and xanxia.... So annoying.

I love Azim's music, and especially the melody there in certain cutscenes. I was wondering when it was going to show up.

Whatttttt, I LOVE the Stormblood music. I was just thinking yesterday how much I'm looking forward to the OST. Yanxia's day theme is so lovely, I want it for my house. And the primal songs are great! I love Lakshmi's...

Soundtrack is fine i.e. it's great, if you don't like it there are ways to turn it off and listen to other stuff.

The music is stunning for this expansion...i don't think i have liked anything since V1 until now it is really something.

I also feel for the first time in a long time the game has atmosphere something it lost when dalamud fell.

I really like the music and I wish so much we could turn off the battle music, so I can hear the environment one all the time.

Sorry but you're obviously tone deaf. This music in Stormblood is so much better in quality and design than Heavensward. I think this is universally felt amongst fans and also critics have also been pointing this out in early reviews.

To me, almost anything in Stormblood is of a much higher quality compared to HW, including the soundtrack.

Lakshmi has the greatest theme ever.

Both HW and SB have one launch primal with a pretty mediocre theme, namely Bismark and Susano'o. Neither are bad, they're just massively overshadowed by Ravana and Lakshmi. I haven't heard the last boss's theme yet, so I dunno how it compares to Thordan's.

On the contrary, I found Bismarck's theme to be a lot better than Ravana's. I loved the way the song sounded like you were fighting nature itself. Very well composed IMO.

I like all except the normal battle theme. And I hear that one too much...
