Tier 6 materia help...!!???

someone on novice network told me that you can only have 1 tier 6 materia for each equipment, but i just socketed 2 tier 6 materias into my armor and they still give me all the stats, i have 1136 tenacity without armor and 1216 tenacity with armor, is this suppose to happen? can anyone give ma an explain about new materia work please

It states for some materia 'past the first advanced materia melding slot'

Isn't the advanced the extra that you can add on some gear? You've melded to the normal slots.

It is one tier 6 for advanced meld, normal meld works as usual.

"Attempts to affix grade VI materia will always result in failure when used as the second or later materia in advanced materia melding."

People read the notes wrong and thought it meant you couldn't have more than one T6 materia. You can stuff as many as you want into open slots on a piece of equipment, it's just saying that once you start doing forbidden melds the success rate for gluing on a T6 drops to 0% almost immediately. It's a bit of a no-brainer if you look at how success chance goes down based on number of forbidden melds + higher materia tier.

Out of curiousity, where does one acquire tier 6 materia?

got one out of a random mob in Ala Mhigo dungeon.

Welp I've screwed up here then... I got the impression you could only have 1 in each piece of gear .___. I wish you could remove individual pieces of materia instead of having to remove it all.
