They fixed the elemental servers it's on the news page :/
I am sick of the silence too. This early access has been a huge letdown.
they said something about fixing susano but as far as the MSQ goes we haven't heard anything since we were told to just wait (which is kind of bull)
The reality is they are just going to sit there and let the problem fix itself, meaning over the next few days as people clear the hurdles, MSQ solo instance, the problem will alleviate itself. The problem with this mind set is it's going to take days for this to happen, until then the game has become unplayable since most of the content is on the DF servers. Why the don't remove the instance battles from the MSQ with a patch is beyond me.
Good God.
Not two days into Early Access and everyone's already acting like SE's abandoned the game and left it to die.
It's the weekend in Japan, too. It's more than likely most of the team is at home resting. They've got a skeleton crew working over the weekend to make sure the game is at least running, and they're probably short-staffed to handle these problems.
Calm the hell down and be patient. I understand you're upset over not being able to play during Early Access, but you should have expected that there would be problems like this. Square-Enix hasn't exactly had the greatest track record in stability for content launches.
Probably during the week. People can't take off of work forever, every human needs to sleep eventually, and I'm sure a lot of the EU players still kicking around the NA servers will start taking those free transfers.
A lot of the people who are sitting there for 5, 10, even 20+ hours nonstop clicking on Raubahn, no matter how much they may not want to, will have to go back to the real world in a day or two.
Then everyone will start getting back to their normal schedules instead of living at the PC all weekend being disappointed.
On top of that a new raid launches Tuesday in World of Warcraft, so I'd imagine a lot of the WoW players with more loyalty to WoW than FFXIV will just say screw it and go do that instead.
This thread isn't about the problems, but about the lack of communication regarding the problem. We expect issues with expansion launches, but we also expect reassurance that they're getting taken care of. When the problems persist, so should the communication.
Businesses don't work like that. If you run a bar/restaurant you don't open from 9 AM - 5 PM, if you run in retail you don't close the weekend before Christmas. People who launch products to customers like this don't get to take the weekend off of a product launch. You have to be there, nobody cares if you're going to be taking these 2 days off in the middle of the week in July.
We expected long log-in queues and occasional server crashes, not being in the game and being forced to constantly clicking 2 NPCs with no guarantee of progress. Sitting in a queue and not doing anything is infinitely better than that.
There are two new expansion zones ungated to all players. On my server at 5:30 AM Eastern there are 750 people in one zone and 90 people in the other. So you're telling me they expect to have 3 instances with 250 per instance in one zone and 30 people per instance in the other? That's what we should've expected? and because they had a bad track record we should be okay with them continuing to maintain one or make their track record even worse instead of expecting them to learn from their previous mistakes? People have higher expectations of kindergarteners than that.
This is unacceptable. Do not forget this silence people, hold them accountable.
The silence is completely unacceptable. We would like another answer besides try again later. You're telling thousands of people to try again later? For how long? Weeks?
Please fix this guys.
Their silence is really damning. They only posted one thing regarding the one bug that kicks you from the game and prevents you from logging back in. Of course they want you to log back in but heaven forbid you're allowed to complete content.
About all they can do is wait and see its unfortunate but that's the reality of the situation about the only thing they could do is change the way the quest works like not haveing it be a solo instence and haveing it be and encounter (like with the purple ring around it type deal) but that would take longer to implant than just waiting for it to fix it's self but I have faith in them se hasn't realy let me down in the past though I'm pretty easy to please lol
Release date is on the 20th. Early access isn't release, it is a stress test. If you think it is launch then you are just a crazy person or completely naive to how MMOs have been working for years. Also, stop being armchair developers. Just because you took a C++ class or work helpdesk helping people who forget their password doesn't make you qualified to know how to fix these problems. You guys are just bitching for no reason anyway, we all know you won't quit the game.
They clearly aren't ignoring us, seeing as they put out an emergency fix for the Susano issue, but it'd be nice for some updates on if they plan to do anything about the main story bottleneck other than apologize and ask us to be patient.
