Pretty much. I was in a 4k queue TWICE because I decided to try POTD only to be kicked because "LOL no instances" last night. A lot of my friends still can't get past the Cold Steel MSQ. Others have given up and are just going to Costa De Sol to take pictures of each other swimming. Heavensward EA was pretty bad but so far Stormblood is worse.

Happened to me just an hour ago. All I wanted to do was teleport to another location before getting DCed and greeted with a 2600+ queue. Gave up and just logged off.

Looks like a great expansion so far. It would be even nicer if I could play it without having to wait 2-3 hours in advance because they wanted to pinch pennies on server infrastructure despite seeing the preorder numbers and knowing this was going to happen.

yes, 2h to log in after dinner , DC after 10 min and is over for u that day ....

Yeah, get used to it for a while. Especially over the weekend and on the 20th.

About dungeons, no, since you can just kick the disconnected person and they will get replaced automatically.

I don't get it. They knew this was going to happen, they have the preorder and early access registraion numbers, why didn't they fix server congestion BEFORE Stormblood Launch by doing free transfers and new servers?

2000+ queue on Odin EU moving by 100 every 10 minutes.

The queues do not take hours acrually. They move pretty steadily. -100 every few minutes. Even on Balmung. I'm actually of the belief that they're artificial queues so as not to crash everything by letting everyone on at once. Seems to let 100 people in every 5 or so minutes. Sometimes less.

A 2200 queue at 100 every 5 minutes is still nearly 2 hours. This is not acceptable. They should have taken the measures to contain server congestion way ahead of early access, not as an afterthought.

Then it's less than 5 minutes because at no time yesterday did I spend more than half an hour waiting even when I had a 3000+ que.

I got disconnected an hour ago and still waiting with 900 to go.

There are 90002 disconnects too while queueing. Logged on at 11am fine and passed raubahn and pippin block. I was dced and since then cant get back in. 4 attempts each time 90002 error and an additional 300 people in the next queue.

To me, it is not the queue that is the problem. Sure, a queue today of about 800ish takes like 9 to 12 mins. I can deal with that.

The problem is if you try to do any instance, then you most likely dc. Then when you try to get on, you are told you are already logged in and gotta wait 10 secs for you to be dropped. Then when you try to get back in, you are in a queue again. The moment you get through, you get the dc issue before logging in. Then it is another queue. Then when you finally get on, if you try to do any instance, you most likely dc again back to more queues.

So, that is 10 secs+10mins+10mins+(dc from doing anything except fates)+10sec+10mins+10mins = 40mins and 20 secs. And if you try to do anything again, add in another 20mins and 10secs each time.

Last night, I end up spending 2 hours over 4 hours in queues because I would dc a lot. Before yesterday, I dc only once in the last 4 months.

I feel your pain I am on Odin and earlier today got dc'd it took 90 mins for a queue of 1433 and now I am in a queue of 2333 because my controller couldn't reach the kitchen to keep me logged in -_- honestly I don't want to spend 3-4 hours every day until it smooths over waiting to log in because they failed to prepare.

I actually beg to differ and even my FC would. I disconnected last night and with a queue of just over 2500 it took nearly two hours to get on. Disconnected earlier and with a queue of just over 1400 90 minutes and disconnected a bit ago it's at just over 2500 again so I am anticipating another 2 hour wait.

Odin is probably the worst of the EU servers. Like I said, it baffles me they didn't add new servers and free transfers well in advance of SB launch. It's as if they expect, even want, a large percentage of players to just stop trying to play.

I want to move to Omega so I can log in, but I can't move to Omega because I can't log in.

I got DC'd, started my queue at 2000+. Currently at "850" where I've been for the last 20 minutes.

You're so far the exception, not the rule.
