Cold Steel possible solution

Can confirm that transferring from the NA Datacenter to Omega on the EU server has allowed me to complete the instance. I literally had to leave everything I had on Jenova just to progress through this story quest, I know some might not want to do this, but I can can confirm this worked for myself, and 2 other previous NA players I met in Sirensong Sea also did this method. Just thought I'd share this, I'm heading out now, good luck everyone.

Update. 2 more people in my old fc on Jenova transferred shortly after I posted this, they both have been able to clear the instance.

So now NA players have to transfer to EU servers to get through this. What a crapshow.

Devs, just close Palace of the Dead for two weeks or so, so that more space can be allocated to the solo duties. The SAM and RDM spammers can just level normally out in the field, and PoTD isn't necessary to access anything else in the game. Even now when I head out into the Heavensward fields here in Sargatanas, only a handful of RDM and SAM are actually FATE grinding or doing beast tribe quests like normal people, even in early fields like Coerthas Western or Sea of Clouds.

The entire rest of the community shouldn't be at the mercy of two new classes.

stay on your US servers please, we got enough euro's clogging up the queue times as it is and its only going to get worse on full release unless they fix it before then :(

I disagree. SE should be using some of the money they've got out of us to hire more to be able to handle it. It shouldnt punish players due some feeling more entitled than others so that they can do the new MSQ

Why am I have to pay for it? No way

Or just delete the MSQ that has solo instance and move to side quests

or just unlock the first instance so everyone can do it when they get to level 61... people will go do that and stop spamming the MSQ.

I run a FC. I have a house. I can't just up and transfer servers temporarily. I want to avoid spoilers, but I'm not that desperate.

I can't do this. Only me and my boyfriend are active in our FC. We would lose everything. I think just not playing for a while is what I will do. Pointless for me to keep trying and get an error over and over again.

That seems like an extreme long term solution to a short term problem.

Shut aether or primal down for a few hours. The problem is only present in NA because we have two big data centers. If you shut one down for a bit, the other should be able to clear the congestion.

I'm sure it'd work because shutting one down is eliminating 50% of the traffic. It's a really simple solution they can do immediately without having to patch in anything.

Or just shut down Balmung and Gilgamesh for a while.
