[SPOILERS] Spotted in Stormblood: The Returned

While the story may be too long to do our usual REVELATIONS FROM... thread (Should we? I can break out the template, get it rolling, and try to keep a leash on the HB boxes.), I've been seeing more than a few old faces around from out past and thought it'd be nice to start a list. Who have you seen playing bit parts out there?

AVOID LARGE, OBVIOUS STORY SPOILERS IN THIS AREA

• Arenvald from Walking Sands Scions
• V'mah Tia from Rising Stones Scions
• Grand Serpent Marshal Swetheryk Brookstone from 1.0 Twin Adders
• Immodest Mouse (Name Only) from 1.0 Hamlet Battle
• J'moldva, the Hellfire Phoenix from 1.0 Side Story Arcs

They're also putting some Main Scenario character that no longer relevent to the Main Scenario into the Job Storylines.

Not MSQ, but she was featured in the 1st Level 50 Blacksmith Quest, "Waiting In The Winglet".

You mean like how Sylphie of the Conjurer questline is a main NPC in the 60-70 WHM line?

The PLD 60-70 storyline involves quite a few familiar faces, including but not limited to:

- Nanamo
- Papashan
- Handeloup
- Franz the Fair
- Aldis
- Mylla

Oboro, the Ninja trainer, makes a very brief MSQ appearance.

When because in Doma story I only seen someone who looked like him but he did not have the scar Oboro had.

I wasn't sure either, at first, but I confirmed the scar in a screenshot. (cropped/zoomed to mask spoilers)

On an unrelated note, I've spotted a half dozen more cameos just in the level 60 Paladin quest. I'll try to put a full list together as I go. Pretty much everyone has shown up somewhere before.

Ninja storyline: Pretty much everyone who was part of the rouge/ninja quests returns. Jacke, V'bekke the lalafell rouge whos name excapes me, Yuki and her retainer and Karasu all return. Additionally it gives a lot of back story to Sasuke from the Sasuke's blades Zodiac weapon. The Ninja storyline moves to Doma from 65 to 70 so if you want to take level into account as a timeline of sorts Oboro is in Namai when the attack on Doma castle happens (lv 67).

Ya due to high demands all of Class Storyline characters are returning to become part of the Job Storylines in 4.0 as Main Characters to the 4.0 Job Storyline such as the Arcanist Class Story characters return in Summoner 4.0 storyline and a certain little girl from Conjurer Class Storyline returns in White Mage 4.0 Job storyline as well.

I am eager to start Monk Job Story once I start leveling Monk to see if Hamon Holyfists returns in it.

Oboro also appear in another msq story but only like 1.5 seconds

I forgot which msq is it but he was seen running on the background very brief before blocked by a key character standing in front of him.

Not sure if its oboro but its definitely his clothes and his face (cant confirm the scar since only a second appearance) so i just presume its him

Yayake, thaumaturge main guild leader, makes an appearance with the thaumaturges towards the finale of the main story.

I don't know if it really counts as "returning" but the trio of workers who gradually showed up in Idyllshire's workshop throughout 3.x are now proper NPCs who can be spoken to and play a role in the Miner quest line.

We also enlist the help of the guild receptionist for info on Lilith during the Red mage 70 quest.

I saw the gladiatrix from the Hildibrand Episodes there in the first quest.

Dark Knight spoilers!

In the Dark Knight 60-70, you run into Lowdy and Gallien again. You may remember the former as the woman who poisoned you in the Dragonsong War and the latter as an Ala Mhigan refugee that you saved at Meffrid's behest when his forces retreated to Quarrymill for a break some forty levels past.

Notably, you also see a few other faces. Ilberd, the Heaven's Ward, the Warriors of Darkness... the questline again ends on quite the somber note.
