Crashing is expected. Going back into a queue immediately is BS

Can we please get a grace period to log back into the game from you potato servers failing us every half hour? Not an uncommon practice to allow folks to get right back in if they do so immediately. I don't mind the hiccups on day 1. I mind the way you guys are failing at mmo 101.

Got back in after 3 hours of trying to log in from queues not going anywhere, finally got in put a 50/60 roulette group together.....zone in, d'c back in a 2600+ queue....GG.

Having to wait in queue once, okay. Having to wait in queue every time you disconnect, not so okay.

In fact, what I find most frustrating is "you can't log in right now because you're still logged in. Give us a sec to log you out." It's like...you know I'm reconnecting so let me reconnect. Duh.

While we're at it, lobby server error should put you right back in the main menu, not close the game.

Yes to both of these. Especially the second one. No one expects a perfect launch but come on now.

Note that, the dcing and queue time really doesn't bother me that much. I just hate having to restart the game everytime there's a lobby server error, of which I've, unfortunately, had many. Damn you Balmug.

i dont think i've played an mmo in the last 15 years that didnt allow you to connect directly back to a linkdead character

This is the reason why WOW's system is so much better. At least with WoW if you get DCed, you get put back into the character select screen and it remembers your old queue if you get booted out completely. Here we wait endlessly and then shoved back into the QUEUE if the server decides to hiccup your toon.

I wonder if Square is going to do something to compensate for their issues here.

They better compensate people for issues happening. Just login go enter after getting group then black screen then 90006 error. How is it early access if don't even get to play 30 minutes whole day. Then when go back to your character screen says unable to retrieve information from server congestion. Or think there should be a class action lawsuit put against them for failing to fix the problem. Because that's like stealing peoples money when there paying to be able to play the game.

Sigh. This is still the most frustrating thing I am dealing with.

I legit don't understand why there isn't a grace period. I want to say WoW instituted that for Wrath? Its been a long time, it isn't a new idea at any rate. Long enough that it should come standard. Better late than never I guess, it would be great if they worked that in now, at least. Or soon.
