I like my new skill click Raubahn+ accept quest + skip cutscene + get error... it gets me a direct hit to my happiness.
SMN has Bidisaster now. Bio II is no more. We must take a stand against S-E's blatent oppression of DoTs!
I know a few people who mastered the Raubahn rotation. I'm hoping my day will come too.
Amazing, everything feels so much better.
It might be delirium starting to set in, but I feel like my PLD right-clicks Raubahn much faster than my DRK. Needs balance.
nothing really changed for monks all we really lost was touch of death
Bio II is the upgrade of Bio I.
I'm only at 50 but I'm really liking the changes so far. Not having to wait 6 seconds to put up 3 dots before I can fester makes things feel much smoother. And 2 dots with roughly the same duration are so much easier to keep track of.
I have tried SCH and WHM and they are both less engaging to play than they were, although SCH is downright terrible so far. Maybe that will change later, but I've only done FATEs because I can't advance the MSQ to try any new stuff. I also keep 90k'ing every half hour or so.
Only at 61 due to MSQ that shall not be named. However I like how much faster pace things are. The constant Tridisaster refresh is good for taking down a handful of enemies without using Bane. Though as other threads have stated, we need a pet heal move. All in all I like it so far.
I'm not past the at work boss yet sooo....v.v...
I only played a little this morning, but the streamlining and pruning is such a godsend. That was what drove me away from so many jobs at level 60.
I think I may play with some Bard and Machinist since I HATED playing them before. Oh, and red mage.
Trying out some openers and rotations for SAM/RDM in PotD, brainstorming, and generally having a fun time!
You know what I'm most happy about? I don't have to waste 2 extra slots keeping all 3 thunder spells in my bars...
And the best part? It's the same for a lot of those multi-tiered spells now too. Sure, it'll be an adjustment in possible dps output for some abilities, but that side of things will get sorted out as we go. (eg: Can't have Bio & Bio II at the same time anymore).
But thunder? all 3 spells applied the same damned effect - maybe they were different potencies, but they couldn't all be active at once, making it so 2 were basically pointless except for when level synced.
First impression of MCH is fine, honestly. Lower ammo count took a bit to get used to, but the halved cooldown on reload is a fair compromise in my eyes.
Mostly I'm just completely distracted from MCH by RDM, though, so that first impression is really all I've got.
I like PLD so far. It got kinda fun to play. I can't wait till I reach level 70 to alternate between the magic and physical rotations.
I love the bard changes so hard. It's so fast, always pushing buttons. I don't even have refulgent arrow yet and I'm loving this, and I know its only going to get better. I like the song changes a lot, I like not having to take time to place a ground AoE, I do miss the second AoE some times, but quick nock is still good, with its cheaper cost. And yeah, theres nothing like shoving a fully charged pitch perfect into some boss' stupid face. It's the fast, mobile bard I always wanted. I do miss internal release though, especially with the poison crit based song bonuses. Still, that's hardly a real problem. ^_^
I'm the same as any other bard mains here. At first I thought the song changes are bad but when I tried them out it kinda feel even simplified and relearning is easy. Although I miss skills like Flaming Arrow, Quelling Strike and the old Swiftsong. (Peloton is too clunky to use right now)
I've mainly been doing fates on my PLD and I love it! With total eclipse I can actually do damage to groups of enemies at the same time! Also, my sprint animation is awesome. Screw mounts, I just sprint everywhere now, it takes twice as long but it's epic!
Going from HW Bard to SB Bard has been quite the experience so far. I went from massive burst damage potential to something far more consistent. HW Bard required thinking tactically and planning everything around 90 second burst windows, and I figured out how to cheese a lot of encounters just with pure raw AoE damage and Rain of Death resets.
SB Bard on the other hand... It requires a different kind of tactical thinking, planning out your song order and figuring out your dance steps over the next minute. I've already figured out how to cheese even harder with SB Bard (as an example, we were pretty much made to do the honeycomb skip in Saint Mocianne's Arboretum, just throw Windbite on everything as the party rushes to the second honeycomb, use Minuet, and enjoy constant fully powered Pitch Perfects to burn it down).
Overall, I'm very happy. Initially I was worried that I was going to end up losing a lot of damage, but it looks like the inclusion of Direct Hit more than made up for it anyway.
I'm playing SCH and while I've chosen to get it to 70, I'm only level 61 and the changes are just mind-boggling. SCH is in an awful state. As many have said the term 'gutted' is an accurate summation and I pray that they do some tweaking to it over the course of 4.0, because it's just terrible now.

I'm finding Scholar pretty boring now. :/ Not too happy with it. It's like, they didn't make many changes. Just took away our Virus, and some AOE/DPS abilities. Feels pretty crappy now.
I love scholar and am still loyal enough to take it to 70, but it is SO. BORING. right now. It's like they threw us in a corner and said, "Now heal." "But SE, I don't NEED to heal right now. Nothing's happening!" "2bad. Heal." and took away any useful dps we had.
Between that and the god awful mp management, I hope it gets better at 70. But I'm not hopeful.
Not a fan of the gauge for AST. It's pretty big if I want to be able to see my RR, and it's hard to find a good spot for it. Healing/DPS feels a little clunky now that I have one instant-cast dot and one casted DPS spell, but I'm not 70 on it yet - could be smooth. I love having role actions (Protect, refresh, Swiftcast, etc) all available when synced during leveling roulettes whereas they used to get locked out as cross-class actions.
Playing WAR on my alt feels largely the same, just without needing to weave any oGCDs in. The buff swap between Maim and Storm's Eye just makes sense (placing the damage buff at one end of a branching combo), and now that their Wrath abilities are context sensitive I have 3 more spots on my hotbar for other abilities. The Berserk damage nerf is fine, but I do feel like losing the Pacify debuff makes it feel...toothless, I guess. Don't get me wrong, I am glad that I'm not locked out of two GCDs after Berserk, but thematically it feels off.
I do miss Mercy Stroke and Fracture, if only because the latter felt good when it was landed at the end of a full Berserk rotation. And Bloodbath. Oh, Bloodbath! You DPS better take good care of it! T_T
Seems like alot are enjoying the changes :3 it's good to hear considering all the doom and gloom b4 sb opened
Really hate the Sprint recast timer outside of aggro.
Shadowflare change is horrible and makes no sense to me. Combining Bio and Bio II is awkward but I'll get used to it. All the other to SCH changes seem fine so far given that most jobs have gotten a similar treatment.
I don't main SMN but have been playing with it too. The Aetherflow change for SMN is much worse and not user-friendly at all. Either also give us stacks when we use it under Dreadwyrm Trance or disable it from being pressed the exact same way Dreadwyrm Trance can't be pressed until you have stacks.
As a DRK, I feel amputated. all of my defense skills are gone, except the magic resist ability, which I kinda only used on certain bosses.
And I wish they had removed physic instead of sustain from SMN.
Dark Knight seems to flow better for me. Oh how I miss scourge though. To break myself of trying to hit it, I had to put Dark Arts in its spot. Havent toyed with mch, war, pld, whm, or pld yet.
I feel MCH is SEVERELY lacking as of this moment. (Me being level 60).
Though I can recognize that by level 70, with access to heated shots, Cooldown, and setting my gauge to 50 it'll feel much much better.
Although at the end of the day I would've liked to see a bit less reliance on wildfire burn phases. (It doesn't help that because of the changes and shorter duration, the current comparison of my old Wildfires vs the New one. Is like 13k vs 6k. A drastic difference.)
Liking the MCH changes, but maybe I'm just crazy.
