52 minutes queue for dps is great

i mean...isnt time you guys change this format? at least dont put mandatory groups for MSQ, make every msq solo..
its unbelievable after all this time and experience you SHOULD have on mmos, this crap still happens. over and over.

I had planned on tanking my way to 70 but I'm still stuck in MSQ line. Sorry :(

The ques are that big because a lot of players are stuck, not enough players around with new dungeons/trials unlocked.

Healer here, stuck as well. :p

Ya, the queue has no basis in fact currently, if you made it to the first SB dungeon, a lot of people are still stuck on the first solo instance. So ya, it's pretty hard to queue for content that people just aren't up to yet.

All my tank and healer buddies are standing here with me at the MSQ wall.

I decided what they did to White Mage was too depressing and went back to Monk. Sorry, but at least we can suffer the eternal Queues together!

I'm levelling as RDM and trust me right now I would kill to be n your position. I got booted from the game when I went to make dinner and nearly two hours later the queue to get into the game is just under 1000 from 2556.

I wouldn't want all solo MSQ, these are unusual circumstances since release, let's not sacrifice quality for convenience

Wait there's dungeons in the MSQ? I thought this expansion was just about clicking raubahn for 8 hours.

Right now everyone is stuck, but even if they weren't? That's the price you pay for playing the most played classes/role. Sorry mate, but that's why tons of people even play healers and tanks in the first place. Sure, lots of us enjoy playing them, but a huge chunk only do so for quick queues.

Bro we're all trying to blue steel over here while you have the luxury of complaining about a queue time. I've been clicking Raubahn for 2 hours.

Stop playing MMOs alone. Especially as a DPS. They're not going to turn it into a solo RPG.

That doesn't matter, y'know?

It only shifts the issue around, because the tank that would otherwise have served a random group now serves a premade group instead. Either way, 2 DPS and a healer of the total amount of DPS and healers got a group. There's still more groups waiting to be filled. It's simply a matter of supply and demand - there's a certain supply for role spots and a certain demand for them. SE's jobs is ensure they meet.

Everyone is stuck . And you can always form your own group

If you play a DPS why don't you know ahead of time that your queues will be longer? It is pretty common knowledge

Well. This is what happens when your game can't handle it's entire playerbase coming back at once.

There's 3 Tank Jobs, 3 Healer jobs and 9 DPS jobs. And the whole expancion is focusing on lvling the new DPS jobs.
The tank job is now nerfed in potency and fun, extremely boring, is the most boring role now. That's the true behind queue.

I'm starting to think they are just dumb. Aren't clearly an issue here? I'm not seeing anything that is going to be done about improving queue time and tank boringness. At least do combos where you stack % def buff with the skills to that they can actually to rotations for the damage mitigation and not for DPS.

it happend because not a lot of person are ready to play tank, you don't like to wait for a queue? simple level up a tank. that what i have done, the game offer you the possibility to level up different jobs with the same character. use it...

You should have gone Tank or Healer. Then you'd be swimming in more duty than a Sewage Waste Management Specialist.

Tank main here. I decided for early access that I'm going to work on leveling my shiny new Samurai and... admittedly lackluster but stylish RDM. Sorry. Probably won't be tanking till both are at 60.

doesn't really matter what role you are if 99% of the entire player base tuck on a msq there won't be enough people for any role

And it won't be a big deal in a week. Launches are nifty and things, but dust always settles.

How can I tank when Im stuck on 1st MSQ duty all day long?

I would have gladly played SCH. But they destroyed it so I had to pick RDM instead.

If they fix Cold Steel that would fix a lot of the issues we are having now. Most tanks are probably still stuck behind the beginning of the MSQ.

Tbh I think they should try rocking the boat a bit with party makeups, why not 5 people (3dps 1tonk+healslut)? What happened to 8 man dungeons like castrum/prae?

As wildly appealing as RDM is right now, I ain't entering a queue as a DPS for a while for precisely the reason of long ass queue times.

We knew it would happen, we knew it from the moment Samurai was said to be the last job introduced for 4.0. To make it worse, we don't have access to the new daily roulette bonuses yet with the MSQ being both bottlenecked and just very new in general. So, we have little to entice us who main or sub healer/tank to just run the needed jobs for the tomes.

Healer here but game won't let me play more than 10 minutes before kicking me.

Healer and Tank here, blocked by the MSQ bottleneck.

I have an idea. Stop blaming healers and tanks for every single wipe

I get the feeling you didn't actually read what this thread was about. No one is blaming tanks or healers for this situation at present.

one of the issues is MSQ bottleneck , ppl got bored and went to play RDM/SAM ....

At this point just run PvP to get good xp until the problem is resolved

No, I read correctly. Understand that tanxiety and the healer equivalent stems from a fear of being yelled at for even the most minor of offenses. Be kind to tanks and healers, and you'll likely see more people willing to play as tanks and healers, reducing wait times for all.

As someone who plays a tank, and always have. The reason why we don't DF with randoms is because of the mentioned answer below. Tanks get the most criticism in parties, always have and always will, healers come next in that line. As nasty as this sounds, suck it up and live with it, it's not going to change in a mmo. I am leveling my DPS job now and I also see the 30min queue wait times as well. I just do other things and live with it, if I dont get a spot i just cancel and fate grind, hunts or POD or go with some fc mates.
