Summoner DPS at 60 and below simply too weak?

I play summoner, I like summoner but now I think its weak. Why? Because a great deal of its DPS has been cut in an abrupt manner. I imagine that at level 70 something gives in but there is a world of content before level 70.

We lose one DoT ability.
Shadow Flare hits for about the same potency for less time but if the enemy moves then you lose heavily as the next shadow flare wont be up for a while.
Ruin 3 is now a joke in damage.
Ruin 4 will be an ever sicker joke with it only being 20% on a pets action.

Most of my worries are consolidated into this: Would a summoner level synched to 60 be able to clear any type of at savage level 60 content with that flimsy DPS as compared with how much it was doing before?

I agree, and I don't think you're wrong, maybe a couple parts I might disagree with.... but overall yes I do agree.

And I doubt it will even change much at level 70 either.

I don't expect this class to last much longer.

Is savage still capped/synced? Or unlocked for unsync like Coils? :o

Well my subjective experience of doing beast tribes at 50...

It seems things were dying quicker. Like having just the 2 dots and then fester shaves 2+ seconds off. The dots being longer also make them easier to manage.

So overall, at least ARR content is probably still fine.

I just hate how the class feels now. It breaks my heart but for now I'm putting my grimoire down. Leveling rdm. At least all my caster gear won't go to waste. Smn was my favorite job.

Not true. It actually comes up a LOT! I got to 62 earlier and I was surprised how often RuinIV comes up and it does a good 5k crit.

It isn't - he's just trolling this cls why so ever... his answer will be (again) that we were used to do higher raw ruin dmg in HW. Maybe we did but we aren't in HW anymore so why can't he just get over it... he already moved to Blm, didn't he?

It means it actually only procs for similar damage to the old Ruin 3. So we'd still only going to be doing the nerfed ruin 3 damage for the most part.

I have noticed im in trance more often now with the changes, and you are able to fester more frequently. The dmg lost is off set but the frequency you can fester and trance now.

I've done a few dungeons and i love the new summoner ^^ it's very fun to play and the role skills are nice too, the ability to refresh mp and give mp will be great in raids ^^ i can't wait to unlock the new spells/abilities ^^.
