Best Served with Cold Steel Quest Broken

I have been trying to do this quest since for 3 hours and it does not load. It just says system error and loads back to over world. I have tried changing instances but same issue.

im having the same problem 20 minutes after server went live at morning.. still cant do the same MSQ

Nearly everyone in my FC cannot make it past this quest after trying for hours on end. Only two peeps have gotten through. Whoever designed there to be an instanced event this early in the MSQ right in front of the first zone was not thinking as clearly as you guys have done for heavensward. So many players are simply just...stuck.

Still have the same error and no response from Square for hours. Very disappointed

I cannot get in as well. our server is trying to make some sloppy line. but no one is getting in, or its just too slow.

For the love of all that is holy please fix this. I have literally been waiting HOURS to complete this quest.

I have been waiting since very early too. I don't understand what the issue is. Some are sayign it works as intended , but i would thingk SE would not intend to make a horrible experience for 90% of players.

I've been trying to start it since 5am central, no luck.

pay for the game this happens so not like you SE can you please just Raise the limit on how many people can do the instances or such? or Least tell us you are trying to fix things. This is not what is expected of a P2P game not in the least. its clear that the players are not going to work together. So Se Please at least tell us your going to do something.

This is completely Ridiculous. We shouldnt have to have an issue like this, this early into the new expansion for those of us with early access. This Makes absolutely no sense to lock out 90% of the early access player base. Please Fix this

Doesn't work on Gilgamesh, this in inexcusable square enix! Allow more players to access these instances!

Can we please, at the very least, get some feedback about this? I am trying my best to be patient but I have been trying to do this quest since 7am and it is now past 2pm. I think we should all be able to agree that this is long past a reasonable amount of time to be forced to wait for a quest that you *have* to do before you can progress.

I never thought I'd be fate grinding on the launch day of an expansion. What a thrill!

I'm on Zalera and the quest is also broken or bugged for us. I'm hoping they have emergency maintenance tonight to resolve the issues... I'd really like to be able to enjoy the content sooner rather than later.

This is seriously not okay.

I've tried to get into it for 6 hours already. SIX HOURS. I took the day off expecting to enjoy a buggy but relatively playable game but I along with thousands of other players are trapped in th eMSQ.

This is not okay. If I can't get past this quest by the time early access ends I'm unsubbing. I love ffxiv, but I can't stand for this.

They should just let people skip this quest.

This is the Stormblood Expansion, if any instances should work they should be the one tied to the MSQ. Shut down the PoTD so we can allocate server room to enjoying the story that is brand new. You can que all day for Palace no problem but we can't even see the story of the game.

Come on square! been here for 5 hours, let us skip or fix this!

A 15 minutes duty 20 minutes into the SB MSQ, and they seriously did not see this bottleneck coming?

Though I don't know what I'd think is worse currently, the complete lack of foresight, or their complete silence right now (a "the problem has been alleviated" post 6 hours ago, when in fact it's been getting worse, doesn't cut it)

It's been 6 hours that we have been trying to get in. We have hit 63, done new class quests, the only thing left is to try to get in. Please Square just acknowledge this is something you are working on. I would rather have a "we are looking into it" than the "come back later" that we have now.

Been playing EA since 5:30 AM est, and I reached the quest around 6:02 am est and I still can't get pass the instance. It is utterly frustrating that this is happening at little the beginning of Stormblood.

Btw its been about 10 hours since the error won't let me progress

I have been trying this since like 7 EST...

Tried it too long... now if I try to talk to Raubahn he de-targets. I can't even try to get into the instanced fight anymore T.T.

Tried to get people to form a line on my server, but a lot of people didn't want to do it and got salty at people who were trying to form a line. If this instance is limited, why doesn't it have a queue system? Players on my server do not cooperate enough to queue themselves.

The real problem, as I see it here:

The reason for Pre-Order is to get into the expansion content early. If the MSQ is borked, it is preventing people from getting into the expansion content early... thus invalidating the reason to pre-order.

I am unsure if the new city is or is not MSQ locked, but if it is: SE is then denying further access to the early release content.

This screams of the days of Verant Interactive. And the Trend to hose people expansion day continued with SOE.

At this point I would be thrilled with 6 hours... I am creeping towards 12.

Been like this on Shiva, come on Square you should of know this would happen. You've done this twice already with this game how did you not see this coming?

Had a few friends already uninstall the game over this. Its just a pile of frustration clicking for 12 hours and prepping our days off while all we get is, good luck, keep clicking or try later and then keep clicking.
