After I updated the launcher, when I try to start the game (now with Stormblood logo) the game crashes and I get this error (CE-30022-7).

Exit stormblood and restart you might have to do this a few times its just overload from ppl trying to download . Might have to restart PlayStation also

I got the same error so did 1 of my friends
I got 0 error me for the moment on my ps4 version :0 Well me it's physical version...
Reset router, changed connection settings, physical copy of the game, still can't launch the game to get the patch. I'm starting to get very worried.
fast way, is to re download it and im still on ADSL....
Uninstall/reinstall worked for me. I got the psn digital version tho
Deleting and reinstalling the game seems to be the best option, to reinstall you just need to find ARR on your library and reinstall that, that encompasses HW and SB. The rest of the updates will then happen via the launcher (which will be quite a lot of updates).
Same thing happened to me on my pro. It said cannot start application. I restarted ffxiv multiple times, restarted my router restored licences nothing worked. I was pretty mad considering early access starts early tomorrow, but what i ended up doing is deleting the game from my pro and just transfering the aplication from a seperate ps4 to my pro took 19 mins for 71 gigs of data and now its working. Thats opposed to 6 hours or more it would have taken had i just redownloaded kt from psn.
When people say uninstall and reinstall install the game can someone elaborate step by steps please. Thanks
they mean deleting the entire game and then redownload it. meaning youll have to redownload everything
That seems like it'd be slower. In my case I'd have to download Heavensward again (using ARR disc) as well as the patches on top of Stormblood.
And thats it? Nothing else needed?

Reinstalled the launcher, its showing Stormblood and launching!
22749... 1160 minutes. This hurts.
Download stopped, then booted me back to login screen, twice. I am very angry now.
Edit: My dl speed wavers around 0.26mb/s to 0.46mb/s btw. This is gonna be a long long night.
@ Yuki or anyone, i would caution highly against on re-installing.
I had to do so 5 or so months ago and basically was a month of no FFXIV, i had issues downloading the patches and some still have that issue.
Finally i figured a work around and had the same issue when i switched to a PS4 Pro
I soo hope i do not get the issue you guys are having, i will be very pissed after gong through what i said above, lol
It's the only possible fix though, the update broke the launchers, reinstalling is the only real fix.

redownloaded the client (11 GB), installed it and now I download within the client the other 22GB.
rest time: 185 minutes /swt
Ugh if that happens and is the only fix.... $#%@
