Goodbye Costa del sol

With the updates to swimming being added to this zone, it seems to have been flooded, and changed quite drastically.

As with any big change, we can become sentimental about the old. Does anyone have any pictures of the old Costa del sol for us to remember it by and to compare to the new version when stormblood comes out?

Definitely this!! I know I'll be taking some screenies around Costa del Sol before the change!! I also can't wait to take new screenies once the changes happen!!

Yoshida actually teleported his character to costa del sol to show that you can swim there now

Costa is my favourite place in entire game hope doesnt change to much :(

During the E3 Live Letter this year, Yoshi-P elaborated on how swimming and diving would work. He briefly went to Costa del Sol and the area had been redone to accommodate said features. So yes, it will be changing.

costa del sol wasn't flooded, they added little islands out in the water (at least thats how I interpreted it)

It will be a bit strange to see several islands out there :)

Can't wait to see what they did with Mist. I have a private cottage on the waterfront and our FC has a mansion on the water as well. Should be interesting Friday is we can simply just swim but knowing this game it probably won't be that easy. :)

It looks to me like it's the same as before but with added swimming area.

Except the added island nothing have really change. :o

That has been confirmed to not be a thing. You can swim on the surface as standard, and diving is gated behind MSQ

I was really hoping that the underwater parts will actually be a part of the areas instead of being a separate map when swimming was first announced but oh well.

Yeah to me it looked like more land was added with the islands, rather than any of the current landmass changed or flooded. I even went out there while watching the vid to compare

SE should instance that area (just like the new areas back at HW) now because I can imagine it will be full of people now lol.

Everything new will be flooded with players for a while. It won't be any worse than when the Summer event hits.

I'm gonna make the call that this Summer event is going to have a swimming minigame.

About time Costa gets a face-lift. There is a rich fat-cat in charge there, can't believe it took him so long to put some money into it for an upgrade XD.

Funny enough me and some friends on Malboro had impromptu beach party last night to say goodbye to Heavensward with a splash! We had no idea Costa Del Sol is to change! Now this makes these screenshot feel all the more special! :D
