My guess is where the last MSQ ended. For HW it was Dragon Head, for SB it will be Revenant's Toll.

The translations Ive seen of this ui element seen in the live letter at the end of May suggests that it'll point you to your next main story quest (presumably disappearing when you are already on it or have none left) which should help.
