Total barefoot option!!!

Idk if this has been talked about at all before or if SE confirmed it elsewhere already but I just noticed in the live stream Yoshida's Lala is completely barefoot while swimming and running around on the beach. Are we getting a barefoot option at long last??? :O

Eh, sorry. Was a bit overexcited and forgot to add ?'s. Anyway the body of the thread explains what I mean and the title doesn't say "There is a new barefoot option!!!" It just says "Total barefoot option!!!" which is kind of vague. So really not all that misleading?

I have thought in that too, it looks really weird that the characters keeps using shoes without boots :/ would be nice to have an option like that.

I didn't see yoshi character barefoot I'm pretty sure sandals were still on but was just hard to see since lala have such small feet.

We asked for this option years ago and all we got was a tongue in cheek response that it's dangerous to walk around Eorzea barefoot.. #Freeourfeet2k17

I'm pretty sure at this point, we can just forget about this option ever coming into fruition. They rather allocate their resources elsewhere. Should have been written in from the get go me thinks. :/

Every time this thread pops up, people flip out because they think it's because everyone who wants it has a foot fetish.

I just want it for a beach glamour or a monk glamour. I hate the golf club foot in a sandal

He still had sandals on.

When they showed off diving in the trailer, those ugly sandals were still on the Miqo. So we're not barefoot underwater.

They probably can't do it because the shape of the foot has "toy doll" type of feet. There's a permanent heel shape that likely looks weird without at least sandals. Otherwise it looks like they walk on their toes.

Oh it's possible, apparently there's a very lewd third party addon floating around the interwebs that does exactly what we want (among other things)

The dev team just doesn't want to allocate the resources to do it correctly, and are content to leave it as is.

Guess my eyesight isn't too great :( I didn't watch the entire live stream so I only saw his lala swimming. I could have sworn it was totally barefoot but I guess Lala feet really are that small. Probably didn't help that I was also watching it on my phone either. Ugh I really wish they'd give us this option though.

It seems silly not to have a toggle for it. I mean, I honestly could not care less, it just seems an odd, though likely deliberate, omission.

So long as you all wipe your feet before entering my house it's fine.

Well SB is here and swimming is great but we still get no true barefoot option. :(

Fordola in the MSQ is shown in one scene completely barefoot. I don't really understand why we can't be. I just really hate those tan sandals. And who wears sandals while swimming? Yoshi pls.

If they added pure barefoot, I'd prefer if the foot models got a bit of an update too. Also I'll be up front and say I want it for foot fetish reasons :P

Actually, if you go to the baths in Kugane, the two midlander girls sitting in one of the spots are completely barefoot.

They've clearly made it, the question is why don't we have this by default already? Very odd!

If you want to be barefoot can't you just use the empires new boots. The invisible footwear?

I don't think it's much of a spoiler, so I'm not going to put spoiler tags, but at some point in the MSQ, Y'shtola has completely bare feet in a cutscene.

Is it weird that I want this mostly to solve the mystery of whether or not Au Ra have scales on the undersides of their feet?

so we already have seen Y'shtola, Minfilia, Nanamo, Fordola and the two unknown Midlander Girls in Kugane without any footwear at all.

square please make it happen so we can take off these ugly sandals please o.o/

i think it's one of the most requested glamour options anyway.
