I follow this artist on Tumblr. Their work is great, and I love this series. It's neat to see all of the Xaela tribes illustrated like this.
These are super awesome.
These are amazing. The one for Clan Haragin is now my official headcanon for baby Galqar.
I just want to say that I've been staring at the dancin' Elezen there for a full minute easily.
These are amazing! I love this one the most so far:

So do they have any sources for all this tribe info or is it the ultimate fanfiction? I don't have the lore book.
This is the source of information about the different xaela tribes
This is unbelievably gorgeous.
I love how the Jhungid and Kharlu, and the Oronir and Kagon form complementary pieces to one another.
I also love how many of them depict children and families. It's not what you'd see as readily in-game.

Dotharl pride, I can see the warrior of light being a slightly tamer member of this tribe.
They certainly have the blood knightedness and general lack of fear prevalent among this xaela tribe down even early on
(the lancer story is a good example since you get a spear nearly planted in your face and don't flinch)
especially if you go dark knight or warrior. I love all this artwork it is really amazing.
I have a Kha and a Hotgo (hisses at all the Dotharl). I love all the Xaela lore this expansion, and I hope it continues (given that they gave VAs to the two prominent lizards).
I appreciate the Oronir tribe(since that's my own tribe) art very much I hope as I go through the Azim Steppes they play a part, for good or for ill.
The Oronir are very prominent in the Steppe, don't you worry.
Also man, some of these ended up being really on point to the expansion itself, huh?
The Dotharl were a lot more...sociable then I was expecting them to be. For all the talk of them being bloodthirsty and what not, they don't seem any worse then the other tribes when not on the field of battle.
I was thinking they'd end up being one of the tribes that appeared as nothing more then enemies in a FATE.
I think you can essentially say that the lore descriptions of each tribe are done through the eyes of an outsider honestly, so they won't always cover /every/ aspect of what the people are actually like so much as what they are most known for. Or what the person writing observed them as being like.
It would be easy for someone stumbling on to the dotharl in the midst of a battle and looking positively bloodthirsty or reveling in it to think "that is what they are like" even if it isn't necessarily the whole truth.
I can't help but wonder what prompted the dotharl to nearly obliterate another tribe, and if that is why they got their reputation.
Well, now I have to play a Xeala.
Xaela master race! \o/
But real talk, the Xaela have always had the best developed/set up and unique background in my opinion. If you're the sort to RP/get super into lore and give your character a backstory, I really think they're the most fascinating.
But I'm a dark lizard myself, so I'm probably biased. :'>
I wanted to see naked AuRa men slathered in white paint... then again it's a T for Teen game. Maybe sometime in the future there'll be one begrudgingly wearing the Hempen underwear set for the sake of public decency.
