Regarding the proposed free transfer to the new EU worlds

I am considering taking up this offer when it is made available so that all my chars can be on the same world that my partner is on rather than separate worlds atm.

What I would like to know is, are there any restrictions to the free transfers? Particularly is there a limit to the number of chars you can transfer to the new world for free?

I wouldn't think there's a limit to the number of characters, but rather which servers you are able to transfer to, as I don't think all will be available to transfer to.

1 charcter max if you have the entry sub, 8 characters max if you have the standard sub

Just to clarify, I know what it says on the announcement and I know how many chars you can have on any world depending on account type and that the free transfers will only be to the new worlds that are created

what I want to know is: I have 3 chars across 3 worlds which I want to transfer them all to one of the new worlds, the first will obviously be free, but what about number 2 and 3, will they both be free as well or will there be a point at which the free transfers stop for a player account

If I can only move one char for free, then there is no point moving and I may as well keep the status quo

It says the transfer of characters is free to dedicated worlds.

So you have to transfer to one of the new worlds or the very low populated worlds they think the free transfer would benefit the health of their population...

I'm also curious if the compensation for housing is going to be ready when they open free transfers.

They are two: the first are all the restrictions in effect for any transfer (paid or free) apart a special treatment for housing, compensated in full; the second is you are limited to transfer only to a given selection of worlds.

In this case, no. SE even got to the lenght to approve full FC transfers too.

They really want us to populate the new servers. I don't see an issue consider all cross world changes we got and are going to get in 4.X

Yep, with finders now working datacenter-wide, the world of choose is quite irrelevant when it comes to run duties.

It will be just a choose of the place to stay as a group of friends, to keep together outside the instances.

I assume it work like the regular transfers. You can only transfers characters on the same world with one transfer. So all characters on world A can go to world C with one transfer but characters on world A and world B can not be done on same transfer would have to be separate ones.
