Those prices are cheap... I expected $60 on ARR alone.
the heavensward one skips ARR too
we all knew it was coming when discussions first started on them being in the chinese mog station.
better accept it now.
I expected them to add this, hopefully they make this one time free bundled in certain future purchases when the story gets too far along and not just be like "well if you're new and on 6.0 just pay extra 20$ on top of all the expansions and monthly that you're buying!" :P.
O.o, wut? Price of a brand-new AAA game to skip content of a game you paid for.. omg lol.
Ah gotcha, compared to expectation ;) .
I am assuming that it only counts once you hit max level? So it clears all lvl 50 content and all lvl 60 content.
MSQ skipping:

GC will be the one from the starting city
Specific Sidequests will also get completed

there are no level boosting items for Red Mage or Samurai
Grant's a full set of level 60 gear including weapon
all job quests will be marked as completed
all actions will be learned
Hall of the novice access will also be granted
Only one job skip potion per account (yes, this includes alts).
only until 4.1...
i'm the only one concerned to have someone jump directly to 60 with gear without know anything of the game? isn't at the total opposite to what they have done soo far?
Queue all the people that don't know what 'P2W' means. :D
P2W isn't really the problem, it's more that people will suddenly be lvl 60 in lvl 60 dungeons having no experience on their job. So if you think dungeons are bad now... oooo boy...
(for the level skip potion that is, the MSQ jump is just confusing b/c you're making a story focused MMO and letting people skip all the story but w/e)
The new boost potions to buy a realm reborn and hevenwards just main story boost will cost the same a full price full game LOL
Surprised they arent doing the thing wow did where they gave everyone 1 potion free. My SO really wanted these for her alts that she loved to play but couldn't get to in Heavensward due to work. Will probably just level my classes in my off time since $25 to skip 50-60 is a bit high for a class I rarely play. They do have a point about the MSQ getting in the way of new friends joining older players tho.
So, basically you pay 1.5 months sub to skip to HW and 2 months sub to skip to SB?
For someone joining now to play with their friends in SB, they have to purchase FFXIV complete edition at $60 plus another $25 to clear ARR an HW ans be ready to go in SB. 2 months sub is about enough time to power through ARR and HW, seems OK to me.
I mean, you get to lvl 60 with one job, you have no other classes even partially leveled, no gear, nothing in inventory all for the price of $85. I think I'd rather play than pay, but others may be willing to pay.
Wish I could have used it for SAM, PotD is going to be boring as hell.
Never said it was, but the person leveling from 1-60 (now 70) will at least have some chance of absorbing some amount of information by just doing the MSQ and the dungeons required. Someone who's level jumped to 60 will have a similar experience of potentially learning... but in lvl 60-70 dungeons... and with a lot more abilities to learn.
Good they adding them, All those general MMO players can just skip everything and go straight to their "end game" and don't have to listen to them complain about having to do the story.
