So what are you most excited for in StormBlood

Kinda wanted another nice thread in the mist of all the PINGS so while they are playing ping pong what are you guys excited for most in stormblood

Nothing yet. Keeping my expectations low. Most of what they have shown so far isn't anything new.

"Fanart" of the new characters.

MSQ by far followed by new OSTs and maps to explore. New dungeons and such are nice but they aren't what drive me.

New music, story, and areas to explore.

I *want* to be excited about the combat changes, but I'll hold off on anything positive or negative until I see some concrete information.

My character's backstory I've written has that she was born in Ala Mhigo (she was just a child when the nation fell to Garlemald and she ended up in Ul'dah where she was adopted by a merchant family and raised as their daughter. But she never forgot her birthplace, nor the parents she lost, becoming an adventurer when she came of age was originally just a means to an end for her to try to get back to Ala Mhigo (Hydaelyn had other ideas though, to say nothing of a Calamity and the tumultuous five or so years that followed). So finally, as Susan sang in Revolutions, (her) "time is come". Liberating Ala Mhigo is Enki's life goal, and now finally, she is on the path to accomplish that. :3

So yeah, going to Ala Mhigo and kicking out the Empire once and for all is what I am most excited about in Stormblood. :)

New Jobs SAM and RDM and "new combat" they promised...

The expansion of lore for FFXIV is what I am most excited about and I can't wait to be able to purchase my own house in Shirogane district :D. Planning to get to the end of the MSQ fast and camp the house spot I want so I can get it ^_^.

The new job abilities and new jobs themselves.

Spending time with Lyse. Gotta watch out for Fordola though. She's more or less literally me. Highlander and everything. I used to have that hairstyle and color too

Not related to the game but, first expansion since I graduated from High School so I have all summer to enjoy it unlike last year where I decided to take a pre college course.

Changes to the battle class system! And new lands to explore...I will admit I took a long break from the game but it is good to be back. I still need to finish the 3.1+ MSQ though...I just don't know what job to do it on no time to farm gear for more than one. I really want to see the changes to BLM...I wasn't terrible at the job but I wasn't very good at it either - really disliked the enochian mechanic. I am leaning towards Bard or Monk(which conveniently shares gear with Samurai.)

Red Mage! I love magic classes so I'm excited to see how this job plays. Ive never been much of a sword person but I'm willing to give it a shot!

I'm also excited for the skill changes and all the story and lore we are gonna get!

Samurai and story.

New animations (so, more than our "stock" animations) for key NPCs to spice up their in-game conversations and cinematic. Or a more multi-faceted and integrated MSQ... (HW was largely an improvement, but between needing to swap between JPN and ENG to get much out of a given character due to localizations either adding some spice or really dropping the ball, continued reliance on "destination" points and errand boy quests, let's just say it can definitely be improved upon further.)

Also prepared to be disappointed in both regards, but will be happy to get what I can so long as there's some effort shown.

Looking forward to more interactions with Yugiri and really curious about the new raids.

I'm excited for MSQ and to see more of Gosetsu. His appearance in the most recent patch was quite a treat. I love goofy badass characters like his. I wanna meet his and Yugiris Lord (or whoever it is) and see where their story goes. Plus, I'm ready to be a SAM already lol
